  1. Just bought a decent chronograph . Its a Garmin Xero C1 . Radar billydo . Not had a chance to try it out yet . Anyone else got one or tried one ?
  2. I think the bottom line is you don't need to be a Christian or a Muslim or have any religion at all to be a good person . I am not religious in any way but I think I am a pretty decent dude .
  3. Good morning all . Already 17c and the mist is starting to burn off . Gonna be a warm one .
  4. I think they used to predate on the ground nesting peewits ( plover and other names )
  5. Yep I agree Mick . The Buzzards started appearing I suppose 20 years ago ? the kites maybe ten . They seem to outnumber the buzzards now maybe 4 : 1 . What I don't see now that I used to is the Hen Harrier .
  6. My friends cut and bailed most of their hay but had to stop when the weather broke . They finished it off last week and working the 33 acre field I counted 14 red kites 2 buzzards and a hawk ( I think a peregrine ) The kites were flying about head height most of the time . They were there for about a week and have dispersed now only seeing one or two now .
  7. I think the Vietnamese just edge them . 🙂
  8. He should be raped by a Neapolitan Mastiff then tortured by a pack of rabid wolves .
  9. Morning all .Just spent a pleasant two days with my brother , his wife and eldest son over from Australia . Dog walking and pub lunches . The Royal Oak at hooks way and the next day The Crown and Anchor at Dell Quay .
  10. I follow it daily . The explanation from Ukraine a few days ago was to try and pull some of the Russians from the main front to ease pressure there . Russia is saying they are after the nearby power power station .
  11. And he had a degree in petrochemical shit . He did/does know his stuff when it comes to oil .
  12. What are you going to replace them with Donnie ? Staying Orange ?
  13. This ^ ^ ^ . Its why I have had more success with the cheap springer and irons .
  14. I must of had mine for at least 40 years . Its a Pedretti . When I first got it I copuld not understand how I was missing things so , fired it on a pattern plate . Turns out I was getting a cigar shaped pattern at about a 45 degree angle . Took the moderator tube off and discovered the cross holes ( muzzle breaks ) were just drilled strait through without removing the burrs . Once I removed the burrs it put out a decent if not tight pattern ( being full choke ) Not worth selling . Its always there ...
  15. I get them in the traps daily . The older ones are trap shy and wont touch it . I have shot a few with an air rifle and the best efforts have been with an old Chinese springer with open sights . But the .410 ( fully moderated ) is the bollox .
  16. I think it will be a Co2 powered gun probably only around 8 ftlbs at the muzzle so somewhat less down range . You would have to hit the rat bang on the swede from close up to kill it and the scope probably wont zero down to the ten yards it would be affective at so you would have to piss about with " hold under " or shim one end of the scope to get a short range zero .
  17. Just stock up on Yorky bars and keep on truckin' 🙂
  18. Does it say Oregon on the badge Mick ?
  19. They are small bore shot guns with brass cartridges . Usually 9mm but can be .410 or .360 or .22 . Its the spread he would need . If you think he could manage a pre charged air rifle , sitting at a bench with a bipod then I can recommend the Daystate Huntsman Revere . ( I have one ) . They can be sub 12flb or FAC rated .
