    Sounds like fuel starvation to me . Does the " oil " warning come on automatically when the ignition is turned ? ( coz its not yet running there is no pressure ) so when the revs drop and it stops it will show that warning . I would be looking at fuel filters first . Also there must be some kind of tank vent . Check its not blocked and pulling a vacuum .

    I was keeper on a small ( social syndicate ) shoot . 6 days a season + a beaters day . We thought we were doing well if we shot 500 all season !

    I get Gold finches a plenty . Some Chaffindhes and the occasional Bull finch . Green finches are rare on my feeders but they are not far away in the woods . There are lots and lots of Yellow hammers 20 yards away in the field but they wont come onto the feeders .

    No they are ok as standard but do respond well to porting . Spud ported mine years ago and it runs a 15" full chiz driven by an 8pin rim .

    The carb boot can split without it being obvious . I think it should be made law that if you have one it should go to Spud for porting . ?
