  1. Buds seem to be forming ok ...
  2. I know you were pulling my pisser and , you know I was pulling your pisser . Pissers pulled all round ! πŸ˜„
  3. Yes I know what you mean about " reading the log " . I have had it stall and a piece and jam under the cone and bend the shaft a tad . I think the cone is too high to be honest . If you look at tractor driven hycrack the cone is lower to the bed . This stopps stuff jamming under and lessens the tendancy to flip . Easy splitting stuff is quick as you like but gnarly stuff I use the hydraulic one . With a 30HP + tractor there is more torque and they just slowly chew through ugly stuff . Thats why I went for more power .
  4. Ok . Do you find on tough stuff there is not enough torque and it can stall then you have to cut the log off the cone ?
  5. I rest my case . The gate on the mould tool needs widening and the sprue runner milling with a ball nosed cutter up closer to the gate . ( like I suggested ) πŸ™‚
  6. Have a look at the Etesia Hydro 124 .
  7. I have managed to narrow it down to planet Earth so far ...πŸ™‚
  8. I would strim round the tree stumps first so you can see them no matter what mower you get . πŸ™‚

    Jokes???

So , that would be a wise man about to pop his cloggs , Gotcha ! πŸ‘
  10. On the 50cc and 60cc saws ( 15 and 18 inc bars ) I run an 8 pin just to get a little more chain speed but on the bigger saws with the longer bars I keep it standard 7 pin and rely on the extra torque generated from the porting .
  11. Just to put the other side of the coin ( pardon the pun ) Metal detector bods used to drive me bonkers when I was a keeper . There I am trying to keep partridge on the stubbles and these guys are marching here , there and everywhere and digging it up ! ☹️
  12. I think ported saws are safer , you know , chasing that back cut etc etc ...

    Jokes???

Old mate . just old πŸ™‚
  14. Ok . You have to remember these are not racing saws with expansion chambers . These are daily use saws . He works the ports , timing advance on the flywheel if asked for , squish band , MM etc etc . They are very different to the stock saw they came as but still totally reliable .
  15. Jon was predominantly a fire wood merchant and professional poster !
  16. I think its a " short shot " or " cold spot in the mold tool . QC should have picked it up . Open up the gate and lengthen the sprue a touch .
  17. Jon , bless him . A legend πŸ‘
  18. Shut up 😁
  19. Hi frammo . I don't know , nor is it any of my business what the grief is with you and Spud but I feel I can comment on his work . This is by no means a pop at you . I have a 346 , 372 ,and a 390 all ported by spud and they are out and out crackers . Also a 560 by petemate and a 395 walker saw . All good . Hope you are well bud . πŸ‘
