  4. On the 50cc and 60cc saws ( 15 and 18 inc bars ) I run an 8 pin just to get a little more chain speed but on the bigger saws with the longer bars I keep it standard 7 pin and rely on the extra torque generated from the porting .
  5. Just to put the other side of the coin ( pardon the pun ) Metal detector bods used to drive me bonkers when I was a keeper . There I am trying to keep partridge on the stubbles and these guys are marching here , there and everywhere and digging it up ! โ˜น๏ธ

  8. Ok . You have to remember these are not racing saws with expansion chambers . These are daily use saws . He works the ports , timing advance on the flywheel if asked for , squish band , MM etc etc . They are very different to the stock saw they came as but still totally reliable .

  10. I think its a " short shot " or " cold spot in the mold tool . QC should have picked it up . Open up the gate and lengthen the sprue a touch .

  12. Hi frammo . I don't know , nor is it any of my business what the grief is with you and Spud but I feel I can comment on his work . This is by no means a pop at you . I have a 346 , 372 ,and a 390 all ported by spud and they are out and out crackers . Also a 560 by petemate and a 395 walker saw . All good . Hope you are well bud . ๐Ÿ‘

  19. Arguments are fine , healthy even . Its the venomous lashings that are unpleasant . I am not a " snow flake " and don't give a flying F what is said to , or about me but I do cringe sometimes when it kicks off . I prefer to stay out of it .
  20. Modern synth oils are fine at 50:1 .
  21. If there is enough room under the arches you can fit taller rubber . It will just make your gearing slightly taller and maybe put the speedo out a tad .
  22. What engine are you using is it still the GX 390 WW ?
