  3. Certainly faster and lighter and less vibes . If you are cutting full time in the woods you just buy another in 12 months or so . So yes maybe don't last as long but I would sooner use a modern saw for a year than use an older one for 2 years . just me ...

  5. Not been alight for a couple of weeks now . reached 15 degrees today but windy . Got to 9 degrees or less in the day for me to light up .

  11. I would put the shortest bar you think you can get away with on any saw .

    They won't be like defenders because the saw started every time and never broke down . I used it once to fell a massive dead Red Wood and it was a bit like felling it with a small motorbike .
