  1. Sorry to hear that Matty . We are in the same boat . Its picked up a l;ittle but we are working from day to day almost . Nothing booked in .
  2. You were spot on bud . Not being in a position to do first aid ( hampered by costume ) you quickly organized the cox and a trained first aider to tend to your lad . Sometimes when its personal its better to to have someone else so nothing is over looked . Well done and speedy recovery .
  3. Try using my spud ported 372 with the twin port muffler < you can hear it on the moon !

  6. Well you have said the same thing twice as I read it . Get tickets and go to employers , gain cs 30.31 and go to employers ......?? Whatever I think option 1/2 is the way to go . If you fork out your self and are willing you stand more chance of getting a start than if you want someone else to stump up . Good luck whatever bud !

  8. Yep . Yopu can go right back to that line ( if there is one on there ) I have used em right back to the point where sometimes a cutter will get knocked off ! I think tjhe best chain is about two thirds used .
  9. Don't ditch it mate . Keep it for those slack times . I think sharpened , but nearly at the end , chains cut faster coz the kirf is narrower . Keep it and sharpen it properly and take the depth gauges don and it will cut better than a new one . Not joking here honest ......
  10. Pfanner . Probably the most expensive but probably the best . I can't fault them and wish I used them earlier ! They do Hi viz and a good range of sizes ....
  11. I have a modded 560 and it is a loony on an 18" bar but any saw is worthless if the chain is shot .....
  12. When its not cutting coz the top plate is rolled over from stones some people will lean op the saw trying to " make it have it " this crates friction which will cause the bluing . You should not have to force the saw . A properly sharped chain is worth several hours at the end of the day ! Oh and if you have to sharpen back the amount I thinkyou will ...then do the depth gauges as well .
  13. I think you have mullered the chain on soil/stones from the stumps . Once you get near the root flair its a mine field . Also if the stumps came from trees on a domestic boundary there is likely to be nails imbedded in the wood from fence wire etc . If your chain is damaged as opposed to just blunt you are going to have to do some work on it .......

  16. Going to try that . Ran an 8 pin .325 on an 18" and auto tune did not like it , kept shutting it down . Went back to a 7 and all id well ........

  18. My bud was giving me an id test . He said whats that one then . I had to look twice . Are they plastic ?
  19. Cut the top off the can ( parallel and next to the seem ) and remove the cat , then weld the top back on . Oh and leave out the spark arrest screen . That is the basic mod .

  22. I don't do much in the woods but I was taught to stack the lengths next to the ride and mash the brash down on to the ride so that the forwarder can travel over it without pulling off any hydraulic pipes etc . that was a while ago now though
