  4. Beautiful workmanship bud . looks similar to the ld writing boxes people used to have back in the days when you wrote letters !
  5. Its Ground Hog day ! ..............
  6. Not too sure there . I think it was down the soft valve seats in the old engines . No valves in a 2 stroke so don't think so . Bore my not be so hard wearing ( nicosil etc ) . Best check with spud , he will know .
  7. Most stuff today runs 50 : 1 . That's top quality oil . 25 : I think was when the oil was not so well manufactured . ( 50 parts fuel to 1 part oil )
  8. The least resistance is achieved mainly by correct sharpening . I don't think you can seriously damage a chain all the while you keep it in wood and only wood . Hard oak will eventually dull a chain sooner than say , pop but that's just sharpening maintenance .
  9. Like you just know an 8ft long 3ft diameter lump of evergreen oak is going to be way more than the same size pine ........
  10. Go with what spud said above . I was going to suggest the same .

    Fathers Day

Got up early as usual .Took my 10 year old daughter and her mate to their pony club rally . Cleaned out the trailer from the two ponies and came home . Took my old Dad a bottle ( he is 88 ) . Then got a hug from my son and daughter . That makes it worth it !
  14. I thought the Germans had no sense of humor !
  15. Thats gonna hurt in the morning !
  16. Hi Jon . Ok bud . Have a good time !
  17. What I like about the Pfanners is the crotch is right up there under your seed sack so there is no " baggy bit " . If you reach across with a leg the " hinge " , for want of a better description , is nearer the center of the radius if you see what I mean . You dont get that pulling on the side of your thighs .......
  18. My 36" is .404 but you can get 36" in 3/8 so don't have to change the sprocket ....
  19. Mine runs a 36" .404 no probl;em .
