    Jokes???

    In an Irish accent 😀
  5. Looks like a false acacia , Robinia . Good fire wood when seasoned .
  6. Ok but we have done work on TPO trees by applying and the application has been granted without the removal of the TPO was the point I was making . My way of saying to the OP that you do not need to have a TPO removed to have work done on it .
  7. Very likely Mick , very likely 🙂 ...Actually , what is the point I have missed matey ?
  8. The applications most of us are talking about is to have permitted work done on a TPO tree , not to have the TPO removed .
  9. Aspen pop has a totally different bark to that shown . Aspen has silver birch colored bark with sorta diamond marks on it . . The bark on this tree looks like Goat Willow but not seen one quite that big .
  10. You don't have to have the TPO removed to be able to work on the tree . You do have to get the ok from the local tree officer . He might say no or he might say a 15% reduction or some other spec . You need to apply .
  11. 6 degrees at the moment but going up to 17 later .
  12. You don't really need the sign . 🙂
  13. Not wrecking it , just making it usable by making it the right length or am I missing something vital here ?
  14. I just thought he is going to have to break it anyway to make it the right length so .....
  15. We will all cover our eyes and you count to a hundred ......
  16. I think it may be trial and error . There probably is a formula using distance between centers of drive sprocket and nose sprocket but you will have to " break " the new chain you can then add some tie straps , drive links and cutters with out actually spinning the rivets , just assembling it until you get a suitable length . ( then count the total drivers and write it down somewhere ! )
  17. Decimal point in the wrong place Kev ? ( before you go swigging ) 🙂
