I modified mine which had a operating lever that needed 2 hands because if you tried with 1 it just moved in an arc of about 20 degrees . I just struck it with lightening so that it stayed put .

That's what I thought . Its why I fitted indespension units to mine with adjustable wheel bearings like a car . certainly would not run at 70 mph with it though in the interest of stability !

Has it got " road tow " bearings then ? It looks like just the plain bushes with those wheels . I converted mine to road tow by welding some on ...

From what I can see in the picture the leaf form looks right for a Wingnut . In the autumn you should see the fruit hang down in a pendulums form .

Or it could be low comp especially on a machiene well used and that old . Once it heats up clearances open up to the point its not enough to support combustion .
