  1. Would not the relatively shorter apple trees get shaded out buy the rest of the woodland ? Also you get birds in a wood ...
  2. I remember at the time that was sung so " perfect " I found it kinda " sickly " but still humed along !

Yes so that will be 4Shillings and thrupense 'apney .
  5. The point I was making was if the tree was there first then its inconsiderate or lack of planning . \Its the old " move to the country then complain about the rooster calling " syndrome .
  6. Are you saying I don't think that ? Or the buildings were there before the trees ?
  7. iI would have thought the buildings were " trespassing " onto the roots of the tree if the tree was there first ...
  8. I chuck in whatever and give it a blast with a map gas torch . Never had a problem . 🙂
  9. I would have to politely contest this theory . I think they can look down . They see a pattern of " deeks " and in they come . Its the sudden sight of your white face that alarms them . I have watched birds on a flight line happily progressing along and immediately you tilt your head up they jink to left or right .
  10. Dunnow ! Explain this . Walking in wood land or around the wooded headland of a field spot " woodie " sitting in a tree . Walk up to said tree . Walk past said tree . 10 / 20 paces past " woodie " panics and flies off .
  11. Don't like it . Won't that one ! 🙂 Lots of material used and the wind will still whistle right through .
  12. I have had 2x Golden Champion ale by Badger . Its my fave ....👍
  13. It describes the action of a helix me thinks 🙂
  14. Donnk , that sounds grim mate .
  15. I'm gonna use " Spiratically " where ever I can Steve . Great word !
  16. You can put 3.0mm cord in a Jet Fit head .
  17. The strimmer head ? or the one I use ? I use the Oregon Jet Fit head .
  18. On the harness for the forestry clearing saw there are 2 attachment points also there is a " quick cam " adjustment on the machine as well so you can slide that up or down so quite a bit of adjustment .

I have F/Ch on all my saws . Semi Ch can have its advantages if you are in " dirty wood " situations as you have a larger area of cutting edge so if there is some damage it will go on cutting on the un damaged parts if not so efficiently ( situations like you are racing to keep in front of the harvester on the oversize and no time to sharpen up ) . Full Ch does cut faster . However a dull chain is a dull chain whatever the cutter type . The next type up from round ground chisel is square ground chisel . A different filing technique and different files . I believe Stihl have a new chain out that sorta mimics square ground but I have not tried it yet .
