1. Mmmm I thought that and tried it but no luck . What happened was it became slightly difficult to start , pick up was hesitant and it would not rev out . Once he had plugged it in it was instantly back to normal . Maybe it was a one off or maybe I did not give it enough time ???
2. Got the top handle not the back handle . One tip don't let it run right out of fuel . keep an eye on the window in the tank . If it runs right out the auto tune unsets the carb to stop it over reeving as it monetarily goes lean . Only 2 min job to re set carb but dealer has to plug it in to pc and run he software .
3. Got a 14" as standard fitment on my new T540 . Seems ok so far .
4. Or tell everyone and his brother coz an arbtalker is selling it ???
5. Ok . Well whatever it was in there he took it out ! Its as loud as a loud thing and you can see the weld line where he cut and shut it ...
6. Thats true I did have to add a driver link on a 385 that had a stihl bar
7. Kept trying , kept shutting down . It is a 2011 saw , one of the first . Since I bought it in 2011 it has had a new updated carb , a remap , and some other bits not engine related . The main mod has been done by petemate on here . He removed the cat from the exhaust can and did some other " tweeks " , possibly some porting but not sure on that . Don't think there is a great deal you can do on that front as its pretty good as it is . but the muffler mod and whatever he did to the mapping has been superb . No hot start problems , in fact no problems at all .
8. Yea Buried the full depth of the bar in some ash and it just shut down . Its had some mods since then though so might be ok with it .
9. I tried a .325 on an 8 pin but with the 18" bar and it confused the auto tune . Went back to a 7 pin and just lean on the torque ....
10. Same as Steve . Actually I am an astronaut and fully qualified brain surgeon but kinda like dragging brash .......
11. Yep I'm up for that . pm sent .

13. Thats him Sky Hornbeam , always is ...........
14. All I think of then is lack of water
15. Plug thread stripped by the sound of it , venting compression . Helicoil needed ?......
16. Has it had any recent work done on it ? beech don't like being cut hard especially in near drought conditions like we have had here lately ?
17. It new you needed a good load of fire wood this winter ?
18. How pants is that ? ! Have you been back to Milner Off Road for a grizzle ?
19. Climbing saw and ground saw would eat most of that budget . Cruel I know but it would .
20.
Hi Jon . Any news on the missing dog bud ? I could not bear to loose my spaniel before her time .

21. No had to drive a couple of miles to pick it up but hey !
22. Just taken it back to dealer . he plugged it in to pc reset the carb and all is well again took about 2 mins . You know when a saw is about to run out it starts to rev up as it becomes lean , well he thinks the carb shut it down to stop it over revving . Keep an eye on the window in the side of the tank I think .
