  4. Right on the limit I would think but each to his own bud . Run mine on an 18" 7 pin but was good on a 15" with an 8 pin .

  7. Yea but you can put a rim on ether way round so it makes no difference . The shape in the rim is symmetrical as is a spur ... so why would it make a difference . If you put a rim on and run the saw for a bit . Then take the rim off turn it round and run the saw again Its the same as running the chain backwards ......

  10. If it was a rim it would make no difference as you can put them on either way round so why would it affect a spur ? ( Respectfully Rich )
  11. Yea thats true . Ran my new t540 dry and it was slow to pick up and lacking in power . Took it to my dealer and he plugged it in and reset the carb . Took about 30 secs . He did say however that I did not give it enough time to reset its self , but yea better not to run em right out .....

    ok perhaps I was a bit ott with deep red . Still going red oak though .

    Check the tree for acorns . leaf should go a lovely deep red before it drops ....
