  1. Agreed . Just had to be done !
  2. When you find the answer let me know ......61 in January ....
  3. Mine screws all the way . Take it back and show the dealer .
  4. Rich it failed through the upper eye So they have beefed it up Like you would . Also the two eyes are now round instead of trilobel
  5. Yea I always wondered why there was no "XP" on the starter housing . bit like the old 365 ( pre special and pre X torque )
  6. That is not too cleaver . Will check mine . thanks for the heads up ....
  7. Yea Steve . I think modding OEM parts is best and best left to you matey ! Talking of which any room for my 395 yet ????
  8. Hi Rover . Do there kits respond to porting work as well bud ??
  9. [quote=Hedge hunter;954584 any info on the work to do? Spud is your man . He has ported my 346 , my 372 and my 390 . Totally different animals now .
  10. Mmmm. If your not familiar with this type of work its all; to easy to pork it up by taking too much out . The only way I know to up compression , after optimizing the squish is to use a ! pop up " piston . I apologies in advance if I am telling you stuff you know about but would not want you to scrap your saw
  11. I think you would up the cutting but use the same or slightly more fuel but in proportion to the timber on the deck at the end of the day it would be more economical
  12. Thats the old one yes ? the new one is beefier around the top eye
  13. It uses the fuel you have more efficiently and it cuts faster so you get more work done in a shorter time soooo I would say no , not worse but different ! if you see what I mean
  14. Its work on the transfers , inlet and exhaust usually with a muffler mod .

    husq 372?

    Got a " spud ported " 372 on a 24" . Great saw as far as I am concerned !
  16. Just me but I would sooner buy £20 worth of files ......
  17. Nice one Steve . Good to be appreciated .
  18. Bit like sports bike specs . The latest kwazukiha weighs 4/5ths of not much ( dry weight ) No fuel , no oil no brake fluid etc etc ......
  19. Even bigger ones if you make it a processor as well . Rabaud make a monster !
  20. The type I like are the multi wedge type . Look at " Huge Wood Splitter 200 ton " 24 way wedge on you tube for an example . Not the best , I have seen others but this type of thing
  21. Not sure to be honest but with 77cc and relatively low revving but high torque you should be able to use 24" maybe 30" ? Take the 20" bar you have and see if the mounts and oil feed hole line up with a modern bar .....
