  1. Been scouting out a few suitable trees for the Reccy what are peoples thoughts on climbing a plane there is a few beauty's about if not few really nice beech and oak.
  2. We have plain cheap cartridge guns do a turn but can be a nightmare in those tight spots. Always use the air grease gun now makes things so much easier no pumping just pulling the trigger works well on greasing the mogs and tractors.
  3. Not sure yet for 9 it's pretty long days now too up to people really I love 15 mins away from the woods
  4. Plan to meet in the wood car park on grove mill lane then lug our kit into the woods.

Yep wippendell is just outside Watford For all climbers in the south east or from where ever will be nice to have a bunch of climbers up for a day or whatever we make of it bring your climbing gear. Can see other peoples systems try out and I'm sure we are all up for showing one another tips and tricks in climbing. Any questions can pm myself or just post it on here any levels of climbing can come good to see a vast range.

  8. i got given the same cambium saver a few years back and it did the same believe its just the paint/ anodising put on the rings as other cambium savers are usually just plain rings for this reason. as gerbut said if in doubt use a different one
  9. how are people getting kit out to oz thinking of taking pretty basic kit. is it the case getting it shipped out of try and take as oversized or excess baggage that will cost anyway

Yes it's another thread about the same topic but I'm travelling over to oz in January and was just looking for some heads up and pointers ins and outs of general stuff looking to fly into adeliade possibly work there and then off to the Melbourne area onto Sydney and finishing off in Sydney this is a working holiday any tips or experience will be much appreciated

  17. gem as i needed to try and pick one up to make my own micro frog walker

Assuming you are climbing on drt you can secure you line on a cambium saver or multisaver is better as you can choke it around the stem and is much more secure cambium saver when a stem is much larger can have a lot of friction as the gap between the rings can be quite big and only really for emergencys
