  2. Weekend I met up with Stihl madd arborist on here and from YouTube a great guy we went on a small Reccy climb nothing too serious just good to have a chat.

Hi mate welcome to arb talk a great stepping stone and a help for most people I'm now nearly 2 months into working in Adelaide and love it, I emailed loads of firms and it went from there I was asked to produce some photos of my climbing show I had some idea before I got here once here got a trial and I'm still with them now. As for taking kit I seeked everyone's advise and cleaned all my kit before leaving took in hold luggage 50m rope chainsaw trousers lid various pulleys acenders all that jazz and harness I took some clothes not that many though I was provided with a work uniform. I got my spikes and another rope shipped out later I took a silky in my hold luggage and it was fine wore my boots to the flight took them off on the plane though It's a fantastic country and they are looking for people everywhere any troubles drop me a pm No expert on this but having done it recently I know what's needed.   4. Summer is coming to an end but it's still hitting 30 most days. Couple of take downs and one of the boys at work brought a old solo Rex chainsaw from 1958 well this afternoon we got it running sounds like an absolute monster.
  5. I picked up a fimble saver before coming to oz it's fantastic and solid pretty slick glad I picked it up retrieves really well too. I did consider the pulley and multisaver but use the fimblesaver in SRT applications too
  6. Great bunch of lads mike knows his stuff and quick delivery. Bit better with customer relations in my opinion.

  8. Crane in today to remove the standing trunks. They were all rigged out yesterday I got the bigger one 😕 swiftly done and a small 4 tonne last lift of the day.

Been a pretty hectic week with some varied work on, heart in most moment one day when realised what my rope went over the smallest dead stub and then would have been a 20 foot drop to the next branch. Been given the use of a work ute so pretty lucky. And late Friday the rest of my climbing gear arrived in oz after a massive mess around.
  10. No mate none of the jump a mate got me a cheap deal without but there is always the next one
  11. Today didn't involve work but I did jump out of a plane at 10000 feet
  12. Hit 36 today another warm one with lots on making life easier with the winch shame everything get chipped here.
  13. So gutted I won't be there had a pretty sweet time last year helping Adam with the srt tree but sorry guys.

  20. Don't know weather it's the same as oz but here you cannot apply for a working holiday visa after the age of 30. Don't know weather it's the same out in NZ
  21. Sounds like you've got most of it covered I fly out to oz in a few days. I'm not taking many clothes but pretty much got my full climbing kit with me flying with Emirates. Browse the net arb jobs as well just email everyone. Sure you can't go wrong there
