  1. Various works over the last few weeks including a failed rigging point.
  2. 3 days and it was finished. Finished article looks good the wall was built in 1880 pretty old you Australia. Rest of the week, had a few crane jobs nothing too dramatic.
  3. Few days removing vine fig and lots of other Nasty vegetation of a historical listed wall 10 m high 30 m wide few more days it's a hard job learning a bit of rope access too
  4. They said it had been struck by lightning few years back no obvious wound damage from strike but serious decline been out for year and half now time to maybe see something new though
  5. Few photos from an inspection I did on Norfolk Island pine tree. Fairly tall shame it's in serious decline.
  6. Warm days crane work only a few when we swapped over.
  7. 5 days of crane work out west of Sydney.
  8. Yes Steve on double rope. Retrieved nicely too.
  9. As Tommy said it a double rope redirect works pretty well actually saw it online and me and another climber thought we would knock it up and see how it goes.

  11. This week for the foreseeable future I'm working on a island within pittwater. Only a small population of around 100 homes or so within pretty much a forest. Most trees are around 30 meters on very steep inclines with trees built around with homes and all sorts mostly pruning and deadwood nightmare few days but there you go. Few chances for cheeky swims after work waiting for lifts back to the mainland.

Prune with a view to finish the week and my first month back at work yesterday got me thinking, pretty deep but what to do with my life and which road I want to take either to follow my head or my heart and weather this is what I want to stick with. But there we go. Something for me to choose from.

  15. Seems a fair few people are loler inspectors out of interest how do you gain the qualification and will I have to come back to England to do so?
  16. Ha ha oh dear guys glad mark your on the straight and narrow so to speak. Weekend brought 2 10km kayak days around pittwater little choppy but not as bad as the sea, was interesting this morning at work not going to lie.
  17. It's normally quite hard after a 6 pack of Stella though. 😜
  18. Took till about 12:30 to get the tree down quite a few lifts then grinding the stump and clear up was home by 15:00 though so all good trying day though.

  20. Some from today's gum removal with crane and 18 inch beast chipper and truck. Few lifts at 1.3 tonne even had to lift the grinder in to finish off the job. Matt smith on the chains me cutting. More photos to follow.
  21. Cheers reg. Friday's first job reduce branch weight on 30 odd meter grey gum and inspect.
  22. Work yesterday hit 40 degrees but at Least we had a good job and view to start off the day.
  23. Test driving a new to Australia mini loader today. Was pretty cool then wrote a review for the arbor age mag Australia. Pretty impressed to be honest.
  24. Survived my first week back and had a blast was pretty warm but got there in the end glad to be back working. Time to get my endurance back too.
