Various jobs over the last few months.

Nice get some pics up mine is just a weekender really going away 4x4 camping. never even know too much now about my hand now.

Hand has healed well was around 6 months ago the accident happened whilst up a tree more negligence rushing on a warm day. Never even notice it now. In Australia the car is a land cruiser Prado 90 good car very capable had a lot spent on it.

Photos from the 2 months work trips away and a wake up call well 6 months down the line for this one but first and hopefully last time I see a chainsaw like this.

Working in Australia. Booked a flight went on the Australian government website got a years working holiday visa. The rest will work itself out. That was 2 years ago. Any other questions just shout

Contracted to an emergency night job the other day probably one of the hardest days at work well since I did work during the day and then an 11 hour night shift. Removing a whole line of mature trees Around 100 cube of much and truck loads of timber. And to top it off road closure and 13 and 130 tonne crane on site shame it was dark to use a crane like that.

We had to be a tad careful as the timbers on the grass were a little soft where we were lifting over.

So a job at work we have been dreading to get done. Every crane company bar one in Sydney said no can do due to phone lines and possible unstable work site. Well we got the 35 tonner in to work on removing angophra from over a house down very steep hill. I had the nasty task of removing the brushwood down to a low ish trunk to then be worked off the balcony.

Great read reg and well said been in a not so different position myself. Being young probably very quick to think helped my decision. Working in England was great worked for some fantastic people and place but the county itself was just telling me to follow my heart with what I wanted to do explore the world. I left everything behind girlfriend family everything to work and travel mainly for a year in Australia. Packed a bag full of basic climbing gear and a few clothes and that was all. Well plans changed people move on and that was 2 years ago and guess where I still am. Australia home for now for a good few years gained sponsorship after driving round the country and ending up in the northern beaches of Sydney. Working for a great company doing all sorts of work and thoroughly enjoying it. Who knows where life will take me but for now this is home.

I think you just get used to it after a while the heat that is. I pretty much wear my camelbak all the time as I use it as a chest acender so pretty much got water most of the time. In summer I probably have to fill it up nearly 3 times that's 9 litres or so but currently winter not that bad cool mornings and nice days around 20 degrees or so.

So it's official I'm staying for now in Australia. Being young has its benefits and for now this is what I've chosen company is sponsoring me bring on the next two years. Here's a few recent jobs nothing to out the way other than the tallest palm I've climbed 20 meters or so tall photo taken from the 2nd floor balcony.

Yea I don't run the zig zag like that but as I was not moving just waiting for the hook.

No normally I would use like that either have a rw or attach back to normal anchor point quicker like this to get back on the hook and more price of mind on when your 30 meters up on a stick with a 660 hanging off your harness.
