  1. its a great machine very reliable can fit just about anywhere though doors and houses for restricted access.
  2. I do not take this personally and I would love to learn from you guys here as well and learn the biology behind why trees do what when they have been pruned and I hope the more I do the better I will be at making good judgement behind each indvidual tree
  3. Thanks guys for some good advice I'm still learning and this will help with me progressing I will continue to take pictures to show my improvement ready to be slated or loved let's hope For the best.
  4. thank you for you points hamma and of course i would not do the same to other trees. we have done the marjority of the work in this area and all customers are very proud with the work done and yes im all for doing the best for the trees and this is definattly a exception i apoligise if this is not a reduction but as ive been not beeing doing all this for a very long time determing the difference between managment methods may not always be correct
  5. not all of the baranches were back to main stems though so not sure. if not as a ratio it was a very heavy crown reduction.
  6. as i say it was not really what i wanted to do as i would have rather givien the tree more of a 30% crown reduction but as the customer wanted maxium light I was adved by the boss to carry out the work like this. in some cases I have not been doing this very long and with more experience i can make better decisions in future.
  7. its a schielslinger 105 mx its a good old chipper and i thinik its 6 inch can take a sever beating
  8. there are a majority of the tree is to growth points. and it was what the customer wanted to do they wanted it lower than this.
  9. not sure weather they will do samsung but otterbox they are great cases dustproof the lot some can be very bulky but ace
  10. no i dont believe so it was massicured a while ago as you can see and the customer wanted it felled but with the position of the property below down a steep verge we urged to keep the tree and so the work was carred out. the pictures were pretty shitty but growth points well there was not many of them as there was only straight vertical poles
  11. after readign though all the pages on this thread i thought it would be a good idea to post this picture from a large sycamore in highgate that was to be re reduced to its previous points was a pig of a climb and it was getting a tad dark once we finished. what do people think ?
