  13. ha ha on my assessment it took a few attempts to try and get a tree hung up but once i did dam it was not going to move it was stuck in a really tight fork of an oak so had to get the winch out and it took ages but the assessor was very patient and very helpful and gave me all the time i needed and in the end once it was down i passed with a flawless assessment.
  14. one thing to watch out for after I found out the hard way was with using a hedge trimmer modified like this. the head can be angled in different direction watch that the spring holding it in place does not brake or that if holding the pole you pull down the black leaver. the spring holding ours there broke on one job and it ended up flipping down whilst still on landing on my back and then idled as it was in a new position hedtrimming my back it was a tad painfull but i only came alway with one cool looking blood blister a burn from the hot cutters and one nip of flesh but it did hurt so just be careful as its now closer to you hands arm body and was not designed like this.
  15. It's been a while but here is some of a big old copper beech take down it had a big cavity running up the trunk which made things intresting but it was a trail for a new company very good days work. they had some brilliant kit lovely and helpful guys as well no before pictures but they start from the front part of the tree already dismantled ready for the rest to be rigged around the acess was terrible so the mog was out in force with all brushwood chipped then logs into trailers then off loaded into the lorry. enjoy
