  1. One of them all together.
  2. A couple of pictures of a 4ft oak stump from a few weeks ago.
  3. Hi Shaun, see at Burghley on Thursday.
  4. It's certainly a good machine, it's paid for it's self already. We already have large & medium machines so this little grinder just fills the narrow access roll for us nicely.
  5. I looked at the Rock stump grinder at the end of last year. I decided to go with a second hand carlton 900, which was £250.00 cheaper than a brand new rock and only five years old with no wear and paint still on the cutter wheel. It's well worth looking at all the options first.
  6. Lay your sheets of plywood on the back of the truck, then drive your grinder on, job done.
  7. I always charge by the job, never by the inch, I have lost to many job charging by the inch. You get to know how long a job will take. I have three grinders Carlton 900, Rayco 1625sj and a Carlton 7015trx. Which covers most occasions. It would be nice to have a Bandit HB20 as well but we get on well with the machines that we have.
  8. Have a go with a carlton 7015trx, you won't want anything else.
  9. Feller buncher😄😄😄😄
  10. Have you checked the relay that operates the clutch? It's under the valve block.
  11. In the past we have used a builders bag with a couple of car tyres and wood chip in, works well for chogging down & felling a stem onto.
  12. Looks like you need one with tracks on.
  13. That's a fair point Adam :-)
  14. Hi 3" feet chestnut stump, on level ground with very good access, I would say ground out (8"/10" below ground level) cleaned up, all arisings left on site £105.00 half hours work and on to the next job. Cheers Chris. Chris Smith Stump Grinding
  15. That's brilliant, good operator. Chris Smith Stump Grinding
  16. A few photo's from a job we had Shaun on last week, a great bit of kit with excellent operator.
  17. Most likely to be Armillaria ostayea.
  18. Hi Arbwork, that's a nice looking grinder. How long did that stump take???
  19. Hi Mike, have you tried Westcon Equipment? That's where I get pulleys and shafts from for my Rayco 1625 super jr. As for bearings I just take the old bearing to my local bearing shop. Hope you get sorted soon.
  20. I get mine from Plant & Quarry, they are not genuine Green teeth but are just as good and a lot cheaper. I don't sharpen them, I just turn them twice, then I separate the Tongueston from the steel and weigh it all in.
  21. It's not a easy way to make money, but I still like to do a couple of hedges a year. I look at it as a bit of time out from stump grinding and tree work, it helps to clear your mind from every day stresses and it's nice to look at a well laid hedge at the end.
  22. Hi Will, sorry to hear about that, you wouldn't expect it from a town like Oakham. I only live down the road from Oakham, so if I get offered any kit I will bear it in mind. Cheers Chris
  23. If that's the case why not put a 23 meter mewp on top and a top speed of 55mph for the road.
  24. Peter Lord at Stoke Rochford (Grantham) has a big Jenz. I don't have his number though. Cheers Chris.
