  1. I have been running my 7015TRX for 10 months now and i cannot fault it. It is a high production machine and it gets through the work very fast. The other week i had 43 12" Conifer stumps to do, it took me 30 minutes to grind them out. The remote control is easy to use and responsive. The only problem i have found is you have to take care when driving over patios, you will brake slabs because of the weight of the machine. Not had the tracks come off yet, but i was told that backing up steep slops and turning can throw a track.
  2. We are going for a little look in the morning.
  3. I personally find that stump grinding is a very good way to make a lot of money in a day (if you have the right machine). I have always made more money from one days grinding compare to one days tree work.
  4. Yes it's a 7015TRX:thumbup:
  5. The thing is, a stump grinder can only grind out stumps. My grinder was 26K second hand new it would of cost me 43K + vat. I charge £550 per day, but i very rarely i do a whole day for someone due to it's high productivity. So i earn more money working for several clients in one day, rather than just working for one. With chipper hire most tree surgeons have thier own, which restricts the amount you can charge. With a mini digger they are easy to hire and people will operate it themselves.
  6. £160 a day doesn't cover the running cost of my grinder.
  7. Has it only got one bearing on the cutter wheel?????
  8. I personally think that the client is at fault who let this lad do the work. As a client it is their responsibilty to make sure that anyone working on there property is working safely. Alarm bells should of started ringing when PPE was not present.
  9. What teeth do you use??(ie finger teeth, green teeth).
  10.
  11. £65.00 min charge no VAT. If you ever need a stump grinding doing i would be happy to give you quote.
  12. No, it's Burghley park Stamford by the lake, nices days work.
  13. Thanks Tom hope your keeping busy??
  14. No need for the bomb squad by the looks of that.
  15. were you working in a church yard? or was a it tree of rememberance:confused1:
  16. I was just reading the thread about worn out grinding pockets & it got me thinking what is the strangest thing you have uncovered after you have ground out a tree stump????? under 1 stump i found 17 horse shoes but the worst would have to be a piece of railway track that had been used as a gate post then cut off 6" below ground level and said tree had grown over it.
  17. I don't change my green teeth pockets untill they start to fracture down the front of the pocket. Then i replace with part worn ones if i have them or you have to replace enough to keep the wheel balanced:thumbup:
  18. Or big stump grinder:001_smile:
  19. It was 110ft tall & felled at 30ft from a mewp, pulled over with a land rover 110 with winch:001_smile:
  20. Ok, rate my hinge, cheers
  21. Hi I reckonise your truck in profile picture do you do LRS Challenge/Uplands Coppice.
  22. Hi I have a Carlton 7015trx 60hp it is a quick machine and you would be suprised how many stumps you can get done in a day, depending on the distance between stumps. I charge £650 a day for local work.
  23. You can put Ammonium Sulfamate on stumps. landmarktrading.co.uk
