whats required to mount a front 3 point linkage to a U1300? I understand about the hard mounting but does it require an extra hydraulic pump running off the gearbox, belts off the engine or can you somehow use the power steering pump?

Trees are unpredictable, and sometimes you get weather events that are beyond there limits or the limits of men to control them. Things can be missed or underestimated, we are talking about 2 forces of nature at work, and people trying to predict both We live in a world full of to much ambulance chasing, bureaucracy, cover your ass, paperwork for paperworks sake, lets do as much as possible to make sure nothing gets done while alot of people write reports about it. Guys unlucky to be hit but very lucky to be alive. Life is unfair and sucks at time but chasing this kind of thing is just going to mean more cost for everyone and the loss of trees that a knee jerk pc bs reaction will require more trees to be removed whether dangerous or not. There are guys that build this world, and then there are the leeches which are the bankers, lawyers and politicians who look at our world as something to take advantage of to further there ambitions and greed with claims they are serving others while taking from all.

It all depends on the environment that you work in. We found the one with smaller wheels a nightmare to get up steps and stairs. and on slopped or uneven ground can be very easy to tip over and tend to get stuck alot easier. A mate called the HB20 (a good unit) he had the spitfire, due to the number of victory rolls it used to do, it broke alot of air filters, ended up in a pond so he sold it and got a carlton. As someone mentioned, a grinders absolutely worthless if it cant access the job. Carltons are tough and proven, As are doskos (perhaps the oldest design out there) heck we have an old dosko that has its own trailer hitch so you can just put it on the towbar and tow it to the job as the wheels are highway rated. Before we had it, it was a rental unit for 10 years. Not that great to use but im pretty sure you could break it out as a fossil and it would still work in a thousand years. IMHO a lighter grinder that gets to more stumps is better than one thats faster on fewer stumps.you can always upgrade if theres money in it or rent if bigger jobs come up.

Echo top handles are probably the best value for money saw out there Love my 260t's and 360t's (as well as my ms200's)

if you process trunks alot, cant go past the 3120xp for cutting speed. Makes the 395xp seem slow

I had a client try to do that to me yesterday with a job my 2nd crew were starting today, saying they had a "friend" who could do the job cheaper. I pointed out that the jobs already been accepted, scheduled and that they can no more pull out of an agreed contract than I could double the price once the jobs done. (verbal agreement) This job had required alot of organisation, emails with multiple parties and alot of general hassle. We had come through where others hadnt. Other times I have let these kind of jobs go, but I wasnt going to be further messed around at this point. I feel for you

Its a childs plot, for a little one who was not of this world very long but who is very much still thought about and loved. I can understand why they want it put right and I will do my best to do so.

Ah when someone gives you the easy jobs So the banksia stump has pushed the plot out, so they want the stump out and the plot put back. Really sensitive sort of job, and of course we have to be super careful. Dont want to disturb anything, stumps only a bit over a foot round Easy........right? Be wary on running 3/8 on the bigger saws, they stretch and break all to easily. I have broken 3 on my 28inch 3120, none had got even close to 1/2 way through there cutter length. LOVE the 3120. its my go to bombing down saw, makes the 395 and 66's seem like clockwatchers
