  1. Another one done gently. Interesting fact, the space where the stump was situated was occupied by many "clients" of the cemetery who had not had there plots paid in full. So they were dug up and put in between the stones with the plots onsold. Hundreds are buried like this, and not very deeply! Oh and next to where we were working was the grave of a guy who died serving with the NZ army in ww1 in france who was only 16 when he was killed in action. Before After
  2. The laws an ass at the best of times, and its worse when its stacked in the favour of scum and against those who positively contribute to society. 20 years back, 2 guys were caught stealing fuel and trying to remove other stuff from a forestry skidsite. They got grabbed by 3 of the crew who were out pig hunting (yes some could call it poaching at the time) The had their hands bound, eyes taped shut and forced to kneel infront of a ditch. Guy took shotgun and at the same time he fired it in the air, each of the scum were giving a good kick in the back and they fell into the ditch. They soiled themselves and writhed about screaming for a while. I knew one of the crew who told me about it a few years later. I also, as it turned out knew one of the two scum, and I can tell you it was the last time that guy did anything wrong. Back then the scum wouldnt dare go to the cops as they would be in worse trouble, and they would have let the crew off with a "not the best way to do it boys but better than killing them and hiding the bodies" warning. these days im not so sure. Pity.
  3. MS200T carbs new here are 135 gbp, sure I found this out after they arrived!
  4. Man I love the swivel heads, I have older fixed heads but they just wont reach 40% of the jobs. Swivels I got are much better
  5. Vast by arborist standards, not suit standards, but she did spend 7 years at uni, so she had alot of catching up to do, and a student loan that took a few years to kill.
  6. When we went to the bank to get our mortgage, they took my wifes details then asked what I did. Turned out being a self employed arborist was slightly less desirable than a drug addicted depressed kamakaze pilot flying a truimph v8 powered BE9. The bank prat, closed his laptop, pushed it to the side and said "We will go with what you wife makes, you wont count on the application" "see you dont count." says my wife with a grin 3 kids later and I count plenty!
  7. Backpack blower, garden hose, slammer, tirfir and a good anchor and a few litres of sweat. Or 3 x 3kg charges of anfo, (cheaper than powergel) lots of sandbags and some heavy water soaked blankets. You could up the charge but youd want to chain that stump to something!
  8. Not mine but thought some of you would appreciate some old ford steel! 1454 145hp 1974 those front tyres are 800/50-34
  9. I have a HK2955 farmi, its got a 5.5m reach, and weighs just under a ton. Im looking at fitting it to a 3 point linkage much like this http://agraranzeiger.bauernzeitung.at/thumbnails/99044531/1016757/0c25e34a35aeb729d2f8e55d868542db_0x0.jpg I figure my holder a60 is to small for it, but what sort of weight tractor (incl ballast) would you think would be enough to start with. I was thinking around 4000kgs. Any thoughts?
  10. echo's 260t and 350t, ms200t, 346xp, 361, 440, 660 are currently in the truck and well used. 88's and 3120's if it gets bigger
  11. one easy and cheap option would be to lay it out a layer of geotextile, then with tensar triax then 40mm of ap65 then run a compactor or roller over it
  12. awesome, that an australian model isnt it?
  13. You show me a HB20 grinding over 2 feet straight down in a solid concrete planter and i might start to believe you. (the photo is not of the final depth) HB20 is probably a great grinder there, but they are a dangerous liability here. They hate steps, are narrow and top heavy and do more rolls than the RAF in the battle of britain The trees had been in a tight space for quite a while, ground was heavily compacted like I had never seen, thats one of about 7 we did that day. They couldnt have been dug out as the hole was little more than stump, trust me it was tried! That chainsaw grinder only has bearings on one side of the cutting wheel so can get into spaces and grind up to objects like no other grinder I have used.heres it getting around a steel stake we found with a bigger grinder in the centre of a gum stump
  14. Dont know about manly, but trying to grind with the tip of the grinder in a hole like that iit trys to jump out of the hole back at you.
  15. One of those fun jobs where they wanted it ground down a couple feet, sorry about the clarity, your hands would shake to if you used this all day
  16. Doddie, if you buy a plane, read the manual first
  17. My Lambo should be easy to spot, only one fitted with a botex crane and a 2 cube chip bin
  18. The UK is closer to Tripoli than I am to Australia. So gum trees make up about 1% of the species I deal with in a year as they are not native here, guess when they did the vid that what was on hand. We have 2 of the older 6 x 12's one diesel, one petrol and they handle the twisted and ugly stuff really well, the 7 x 13 looks to be set up even better. They are currently looking at putting a diesel in a rotating model (I have asked about it myself) But hansa was happy to put the engine I wanted in the last one I got from them and have always been great in making the chippers people ask for (I have asked for some stupid stuff), not just what they have coming off the production line. Heres an old 6 x 12 working stuff other than euc! (vid is 5 years old) [ame] [/ame] I also look at there 10 x 15 which at 1400kgs would be easy even for my crappy ute to tow! But santa just keeps dropping the ball.
  19. 7 x 13 on a turntable 750kgs, less that 13k in gbp. I have the older 6x12 on a table and the upgrade is tempting!!!!! C27 Brush Chipper
  20. Heck easy day for 3 guys plus 18812kms milage to job (hope it fits in one trip as its a long way to our yard) 19,821 plus VAT (might fit in a quick job on way home to really make it cream)
  21. Loaded with a little to much gravel
  22. Oh so you want the storm blown stump ground and the graves that have been lifted up put back, over 2000kgs each.
  23. Hansa chipper on turntable less than 14,000 quid 7 x 13 inch feed opening 750kgs picking it ups going to be tricky C27 Brush Chipper
