  3. Well done mate! i was gonna go for it as im in dire need of a chipper but sods law.....mrs car packed up so couldnt afford to bid! Hope it serves you well!
  4. Im tempted, might make a good first chipper! Only concern is avaliability of spares such as blades??
  5. I got an Xperia Z a few weeks ago as I needed a waterproof phone. The screen has now cracked on its own (aparently its a design fault that Sony wont admit to) and it will cost over £200 to replace the screen! Its not covered by warranty as they class a cracked screen as "physical damage". Aparently they crack due to the phone getting hot during use, there are alot of cases on the internet about this happening but basically its tough s*it, you have to pay to get it fixed! Im reluctant to do this incase it breaks again so my advice to anyone looking to get an Xperia Z is DONT!!!!!
  6. £25 to £30 per hour for private maintenance jobs..........wish I could get away with that! Surely thats at the very top end of pricing!?
  7. I`ll keep me ears open for ya! A mate of mine might be losing his groundie, based in Illogan, between camborne and redruth!
  8. Check out the Makita saws, they are a fair bit cheaper than the Stihl or husky ones and alot of people on here really rate them!
  9. Hiya, I have a belle petrol mixer with a Honda engine on it. I work alone and need to be able to put it on the stand on my own, I have downloaded a manual and it says to put the mixer on the ground face down then insert the stand and pull it upright. In the diagram it shows an electric mixer, it it ok to do it this way with a petrol one? Wouldnt it leak oil or oil run into the cylinder?? Regards, Anthony.
  10. Sweet, thanks for the replies!
  11. Thats cool then! I havnt been doing it long but I have always been good with wood and my hands, my customers all seem very pleased with my work so hopefully word will spread!
  12. Hiya, I have recently started my own business and alot of my work is landscaping, decking, fencing etc. Things are good at the mo, plenty of work! Im just abit worries that this kind of work is seasonal so was wondering if in your experience this is the case, and if so what you do during the winter! Cheers!
  13. Must be one of those magic eye pics as all i can see is a pair of boobs....................
  14. Where did you get it? Price?
  15. I recently used my FS55 to clear a large area (approx 100m square!) of chest heigh brambles, I fitted the stihl "grass cutting blade" and to be honest it did a cracking job! I have used FS400`s in the past and I recon that it wasnt much slower and a hell of a lot lighter! To make it easier and to stop it getting snagged on the brambles I took off the guard (naughty!) and by using an "up and down"motion instead of a "side to side" motion it went through the brambles fine! Might be worth trying this before you buy a new machine!?
  16. Good job you had a tractor with a flail, I have just completed a job just under an acre that was chest heigh in brambles with hidden chicken wire, old farm impliments and god knows what else! Did it with my FS55! Never again.........!
  17. Hiya, I recently bought 2 wolf mowers for £100, a GT22 and a GT3 (3 wheel jobbie!) I have got them both running and they have only done a seasons cutting before i bought them. The GT3 works fine but the GT22 has developed a problem with the drive. It was working fine, then the drive slowed and stopped. I checked underneath and the belt had come off, it seems very slack..... Anyway I put the belt back on and it works fine, but now I cant pull it backwards. The drive cog that drives the rear wheels seems to be on some kind of ratchet, the wheels will free wheel forwards but wont turn backwards.....? Also the drive has stopped working again......any ideas!???
  18. Hiya, The handle has snapped off my Shihl Maul, just under the bottom of the head. Has anyone put a new handle on one, any tips how to do it!? It looks like it has two steel inserts in the top of the handle to expand it onto the head to make it tight, do you need these???? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!
