  1. Call me Monday 07977106671, Adrian
  2. Well I never, all the years I have worked with Paul Elcoat and I thought this was him, not much if an arbtalk user to be fair just saw this on the hop. You are quite right both top guys. Paul Elcoat helped us gain Aa approval and our ISO's etc and I would highly recommend him to assist with any bodies H &S advise. Sorry for the mistake !
  3. You could just contact Paul (AATeccie) if you don't know, that's Mr Elcoat himself. Not sure if he wants me to put his contact details in here as he hasn't offered them up. But you won't get a better person on board. Just google Elcoat Ltd and your prayers will be answered.
  4. Ehh? You actively employ a druggy?? Best I had was to pull up on a ex employees driveway and him not get out of the house. Bedroom light was on but refused to answer. Next day I found out he was entertaining not one, but two lady's. What can you say!?!
  5. May be interested in oversized timber. How much for that and could you provide a postcode please. 07977106671 maybe easier to text or call as not an arbtalk regular,
  6. It's funny reading all those figures. Buy a new Dodge Ram if your concerned about economy. Everybody laughed at me when I bought one but had them since 2009. Replaced it will a new one last year and get 17 mpg out of it all day long, it may drop to 16 if I tow 3 ton up the mway at 60 all day. 400hp of 5.7 litre hemi under the bonnet really doesn't struggle. She runs on lpg at cheaper than half the cost of petrol and depreciates less than you could imagine. Last one had 165'000 miles on in 5 years and depritiated 9 pence per mile. Compared to the last navara I bought in 2006 that lost 18 pence per mile. Only problem is you constantly get asked 'what do you get to the gallon mate?' Or where's the tanker? Following? Hahaha'. They normally shut up when you give them the facts or they look at their chelsie tractor and mutter something along the lines of loosing that when they drove of the forecourt. Have you ever asked a navara or rodeo driver what they used to drive to be told ' a Dodge Ram, but this is better' nope thought not!
  7. I have lots suitable, been keeping it for years for just this question. But Croatia???
  8. I have an 18 ton hook lift with big bin and 14.5 ton meter crane / timber grab. Have 6 ton payload 14ft long bed. 07977106671 based in Warwick but travel pretty much anywhere south of the Scottish boarders

  10. I have a 200hp tracked machine (5 ton converted digger) with a grinding head that will lift over 6 ft tall. Done a couple if upturned root plates with it before. I am up in the midlands but have my own transport lorry so may be cheaper than a 360 digger and transport to and from site. 07977106671. Thanks

  15. I run a hiab 145-2. This will lift timber 8 ton close in and 1.7 ton at full reach (10 meters) Its just brilliant and I wouldn't be without it. Did a job for the Fassi crane importers the other week and the hiab was much ridiculed as you would expect.I had a good chat with him about the difference and apart from all the things already mentioned, he also said that timber cranes were designed not just for lifting but also for pushing, ie. pushing timber down into a stack. apparently lorry loader cranes are only designed for lifting and should never be forced onto anything. If you look at the extensions if you push them down you will notice that they rise up away from their wear pads whereas timber cranes don't do this. They are generally also much much stronger. Go for the lorry loader crane. In arb we dont need it fast all the time and they are much cheeper. Look after it and it will be the best thing you buy.
  16. Sorry not very good on forums and dont kniw hiw to send a pm. Call me on 07977106671 i would be interested in talking to you about it,
  17. As a regular employer or sub contractors I always ensure that they hold their own insurance. Including Public liability. Whilst I am employing their services, they are in turn supplying a service to me for which they require to be insured. As an AA aproved company it is a requirement to ensure all sub contractors have proof of insurance. Yes, all my sub contract employees are covered under my employees liability, but if their equipment fails such as a rope or karabiner. And they end up in a wheel chair for the rest of their life I can assure you that i will not cover that! If the subie, or freelance person uses my equipment and I supply all ppe efectively the only diference being that they pay their own tax then thats a different matter. Trust me, you are in a dodgy situation if you think you are right. I hope you never have to find out the hard way
  18. I've seen all types. Unfortunately, yes the are all young lads that are normally useless. However ive got young lads work for me that would drag themselves in with the plague. I fractured my colar bone years ago thanks to having my chipper rollers going to fast. and was hedge cutting the next day with one arm in a sling. Only problem was i tripped over a bush, put my arm down and broke my colar bone clean in half!!!!!!!!!
