  1. A great tip Rob, I was thinking of getting a car battery, but the charger is certainly more portable. Might look into getting a small motorbike battery:thumbup1:
  2. Soon to be getting oiled and then off to new home at a primary school on Monday.
  3. Well done Rob for doing this, very interesting reading. I was convinced the save edge was my top and it turned out to be oregon:001_rolleyes: On the subject of sharpening, my Gransberg precision grinder arrived today:biggrin: Thanks Rob and thanks for the extra stones too, top man:thumbup1:
  4. What about a druggy forum? ARBTOKE ??!!
  5. How much are the rear handled 150's? Look like they'd be a good carving saw.
  6. Bet I'd go at quite a pace if I rigged my 066 up to my bike!!
  7. :laugh1: I'm trying to work out whether the saw is powering the bike or if the saw is pedal powered:lol: Health and safety would have a field day, would need to be a bright orange GB bar to be road legal I reckon.
  8. Thanks Jon I'm honoured mate, do I get a badge? Yes it's a 36" bar with an 18" strapped on the inside:sneaky2: Hmmm who will get the trailer first, after todays outing I'm pretty keen on getting one:lol:
  9. In homage to Mr Fox, I loaded up my rucksack with trusty 066,fuel,oil, etc, strapped a couple of bars to the bike and biked it to the workshop. The sun was shining, I was dodging traffic and feeling great! Then I turned a corner and hit the wind, the rucksack preventing me from looking no higher than the top of my front wheel I was trying really hard to look like I was enjoying myself. That bike trailer is looking even more appealing now!! Congrats btw guys Si
  10. The wings are really nice:thumbup: I know there's a sadness that everyone is picking up but I see an innocent game of hide and seek, maybe that's just where I'm at, I play it often enough lol.
  11. I may have read this wrong but it sounds like it's spinning at half throttle ie trigger blipped at starting position. Once you press the trigger you release the half throttle and it goes to an idle position the chain stops spinning. This doesn't answer your original query on stalling though sorry.
  12. New series starts this week I believe. Silky, I too have been dipping in and out of this thread, very inspirational mate:thumbup1: Seeing your bike loaded up has got me thinking of getting something like thisVEELAR Foldable 16" Bike Cargo Trailer Shopping Utility Trailer Brand New | eBay I have a place that I can carve from, and at least three days a week that are child free. I could load the trailer with all the kit and be carving within half an hour of dropping the girls off:thumbup:
  13. great carving Kim, think I like that more than the dog you did.
  14. Could it be someone buying cheap at shows and selling on for a quick profit?
  15. Cheers guys, I'm a little bit more clued up as to what to expect now, thank you.
  16. Has anyone bought a saw of ebay from America? Just wondering if you would incur charges from customs or not. Don't want to commit to something and find I have to pay extra to receive it! Cheers, Si
  17. Hey Rob, I'm after some oak for a job right now, 6' x 3' diameter. What's the diameter of that oak at 6' from the fat end mate? Cheers, Si
  18. It may well be something at my end but my email notifications of PM's has stopped even though my user panel says it's set up. Is anyone else having problems ? Cheers, Si
  19. Hi folks, I'm in a bit of a pickle:blushing: I priced a job for an oak memorial bench and the butt I had set aside for it is unusable. The deadline is fast looming upon me so if anyone has a piece suitable please PM me asap. I need a 6'long section 30 to 36" diameter, either delivered or palletted to me, (Liverpool area) Would prefer local as it would save on costs but am open to further afield. Thanks, Si
  20. As it's already in Scotland I'd PM Big J mate.
  21. A rare shot of spud at work:001_tt2:
