  1. Cheers Ste, yes there's a likeness for sure.
  2. It's been a long day. 😛
  3. Haha gotcha, when I first read your comment I was wondering if you meant self portrait lol
  4. Lol Ian what are you saying? No I googled grey aliens as a reference and kind of made it up as I went along. Not like anyone's going to say " well actually they look more like this" 😉
  5. I got asked to an alien so I came up with this fella. Been kind of fun 😊
  6. You've got some great movement there, nice job mate

Thanks Andrew, I'll be watching this thread keenly 😊 Any idea on launch date yet or is it still top secret?

Hi Andrew, I heard from Bill and it seems to be a cracking little saw. It could be a couple of months before I commit but it's definitely caught my interest. It was mentioned that a 200/1 equivalent topper maybe on the cards soon, is this correct and will there be a rear handle version? Cheers, Si

Interesting, thanks a lot mate. Do the numbers mean it's 34cc? It would be running 1/4 chain, but only need the sprocket and unit really. Any difference in price without a bar? Do you know of any carvers using this? I'd be very interested in their feedback.
  15. The only disadvantage is that'll be bit more cumbersome but the pro's outway the cons. Having the bigger mill gives you more flexibility on size of logs, you're bound to find a log That's just too wide and you'll kick yourself for not getting the bigger mill 😄
  16. You need to factor in that you'll lose 6" of the bar length when attached to a mill. So a 36" bar will mill a 30" diameter log max.

How much is the carving saw shavey?
  18. Piston you are a font of knowledge👍 I'll see if I can offer up one of my bars at the saw shop and go from there. It wouldn't be a big issue drilling out the spacer. From memory the cannon bar has 2 oiler holes so fingers crossed one of them will line up 😄
  19. Well I guess it's not viable if my bars won't fit, don't really want to have to buy new bars to fit it at £100/ bar. I'm wondering if I can just change the bar studs?
  20. Cheers for doing that mate. I was considering this saw as my 026's will be retiring soon. Trouble is I have several carving bars with the S1 mount so unless I can get an adapter they won't fit. I know you can get stihl to husky adapters, not sure if you can get an S1 to C1 though.
  21. Ah, think I've sussed it, C1 mount , bugger!
