  1. Work in progress at my girls school. Detail of Owl Babies 😊
  2. I've a couple of eye tools but find they never look quite right. I normally resort to chisels to get the correct shape. Shallow gouged and a skew chisel.
  3. The echo280 and stihl ms150 are under powered for a main detail saw. You really want something of similar power as ms201, so the dolmar might fit the bill. The other two saws are additional to your main detail saw, I run an R7 sugi hara 0.043 carving bar on my ms150 and that is just for fine detail after I've put the ms201 down.
  4. Oops only just seen your reply. I'll give going a ring and see if he's sorted already 👍
  5. Hi mate, yes I'm Liverpool way, I'll pm you. Cheers, Si 👍
  6. Hi I'm in formby, I've got an Alaskan mill if that would do it otherwise I've a contact with a woodmizer.
  7. Good to hear mate, thanks a lot 👍 I'll keep checking the plug for now.
  8. Have you tried twisting the locking mechanism back on the cap first, then try inserting it and locking it ??
  9. Hi Steve, Got the saw tached just under 13000 But both H and L screws are between 3/4 to 1 turn out so less than factory settings. Does this sound ok? New plug only put one tank in and checked. Will take another look after next tank. Cheers, Si
  10. Great! Thanks Steve. I've opened both H and L a1/4 turn so I'm on the right tracks at least. I'll get it tached on my next visit to the saw shop now I have the right figures 👍
  11. It was sounding a little too racey so I've turned the H and L out a 1/4 turn. I'll swap to a new plug at the weekend and keep an eye on the colour until I call in to the saw shop. Revving it up without my ear defenders on and my ears are still ringing 15 minutes on!
  12. Hi Steve, I'm after a little guidance on carb tuning. I've fitted a dual port muffler on my stihl 066 and I'm concerned that without a tune up I risk leaning the saw out. Do I tweak the L out a touch and leave the H screw ??
  13. Good turn out then Ray, did you sell much? Did they pay you? Pm if you'd rather not divulge on the forum 😁
  14. He's a character Russ, like the use of paint👍
  15. Send me a pm mate, some of these are already sold. Cheers, Si
  16. That's a great offer! Funny how these opportunities are always the other end of the country to me 😠
  17. Haha, I have similar problems sourcing logs, lots of posts for free logs down south😏
  18. Cheers Ian, client wanted him looking in a particular direction which wasn't the ideal position but it worked out in the end 👍
