Saw a bloke use this set up in a comp In NZ looked good to me if your bombing about. Not my cup of tea though.

I've got the SRT harness without the croll and have climbed in it for the best part of a year with the top harness on all the time, Good for using big saws as it puts the weight in your shoulders Good for awkward trees where you are level lining a lot or climbing above your main anchor as the shoulder straps stop the harness being pulled off your ass Can use for mewp work I don't think I would climb without the shoulder straps on the SRT harness as the waist straps seem to loosen themself off Doesn't really make a difference for SRT unless you have the croll attachment but I don't see why you would use it, it's more versatile to use a rope wrench in arb work. Everyone who picks up my harness also says how heavy it feels and with the top harness but not a problem for me Strangely enough if I climb without the top harness on now I feel odd and exposed also can store chocolate bars on the top harness which is essential

Make sure you charge by the hour

I have climbed on both and there is a massive difference. Cougar is lot more bouncy and milks like you wouldn't believe, cougar blue is a lot more static. That's my opinion anyway other people may say different things.. What's the cost for cougar and cougar blue in the UK, it's not cheap in NZ but cheaper in the US

Awesome explanation, being methodical is so important relaxing and just getting on with it, on top of this a good anchor point and good rope angles if possible All about flow. You sometimes just get them trees that work for you and other days you feel like your fighting it

Bring Sally up bring Sally down is good fun, when I do it my arms are tucked right in by my sides when doing the press up. Wide arms is another level... Another one is do 1 press up stand up then go straight back down and do 2 press ups and go straight back down and do 3 etc etc you shouldn't have an issue of 10+

I think we miss understood each other. All I was trying to say was that you need to pass your cs tickets up to cs39 ( or whatever the equivalent Units are now) and an Ipaf 1b to work out a mewp. This is my understanding of what you need? Or do cs47 instead of Ipaf

I meant cs39 sorry. ipaf and cs39 is what I have. Are you saying NPTC, lantra and ipaf are not adequate training?

Not sure about YouTube but if you go on the NPTC or lantra website I can't remember which one and download the training booklet and read through it loads that will help a heap

Up to cs38 and ipaf 1b. There is a cs unit for mewp but I believe ipaf is more recognised.

Glad all is well, yeh I missed all the shows this year typical ay get back in time for winter Haha. It's winter in NZ now aswell it's been raining for 3 weeks I think I have I am just going to keep using them til I've warn through the body completely or they start slipping even with a new cam in them. I will put pictures up of my 2 spiderjacks with warn out bodies. I need to sort out a pulley saver soon i will probably get tree tools to make me something up

Sounds good. I am well divided on what to buy now, will have to work it out soon before the boots fall off my feet haha. Hiax sound good but I know what the Airstreams are all about. Might have an issue buying the right hiax in NZ

So do you mean you can wear through till the bolt is exposed and just keep replacing the bolt as it wears away? I understand you can buy new body's aswell

I've been through loads of clutches you can see on the body where it wears through to the pin

Has anyone else worn out the body on a spiderjack I have done two in less than 12 months? I use the wooden brake all the time and the bit off wood is pushed almost as forwards as it can go, I am pretty smooth on it and am running 11.7 rope which isn't particularly dirty or rough? I weigh just over 90kg so with kit maybe pushing 100.I also use a cambiums saver on every climb... I'm at a point where it's going to be too expensive to keep using one even though I love using it...
