  1. Nice vid mate. How tall was the tree?
  2. Hodge I have to say I agree with pretty much everything you say on AT. I too have a sidewinder and to take it out run it and run the risk of smashing the green teeth to bits I try and charge at least £100. May do it cheaper if I have taken the tree down in the first place and there is other work to be done in the future. £30 for a stump, no thanks unless there were 20 of them in a row!
  3. Good question I too would be interested in knowing what others have found out.
  4. That was great. Ace editing. How tall was the stick?
  5. Is he cutting the top of the hedge? Can't understand why else he would be on it?!
  6. I think you should just sell it to me !!!!!!
  7. They hold there money though pal. You could always see it as an investment! Have to try that out on my Mrs. Don't think she will see it that way. Like that other one you posted not long back too, the racers can stick their pocket rockets. Lol
  8. No Take your bowline out, then larks foot and a couple of half hitches. I have put a piece of throw line to make it longer worked well for me. Got a spliced rope now. Honestly though makes no real difference.
  9. Busted...... Quality photos of some proper tree work though Herb
  10. Great pics there Ian, my favourite being the swimming pool one! Great
  11. Just my opinion, so here goes. Bandit, are up there so long as you can pull it. Other than that the rest are either not powerful enough or too expensive. Unless it's a Först!!!!!! Got not long ago, just wish I had got one sooner!
  12. Deans gonna be on the hit list. Cutting off the flairs tut tut.
  13. So want a bandit, So anyone with a transit size van pull a 75 day in day out how do they fair? Not really the kind of thing done on a demo is it. Fill the van up with chip then have a jolly about seeing how it pulls, or is it? Dean is there an option for the chip pipe to fold down? Or would it have to be removed to get it in to a workshop where the height is around 6'6"
  14. Christ not any other chipper thread. Just getting it over and done with before someone else says it! It a lot of money and I wanna get it right.
  15. Thinking about getting a new chipper, at present I have a timberwolf 150. Very reliable not a bad machine. But would like to keep progressing, business has been good for a while and bottom line the wolf pees me off. I would love a bandit 7", but I am worried about the weight, I run a Nissan Cabstar tipper. Have a sidewinder grinder and can't big it up enough, over engineered and just awesome. Bet the bandit chippers are as good. People say you buy one and that it for life. It that true? I like the look and feedback from here of the Forst. And, like some the features of the greenmech 160 quadchip. I have to take the spout off the wolf every night to get it into the lock up, the green mech folds up do the others have the option of this? What I wanna know is. Are bandits really that good Could a Nissan Cabstar pull it ok with a good load of chip on. Don't wanna waste globals time with a demo of a machine that is a bit to might to be pulled about by a Cabstar, transit size, van. Would appreciate any feed back on this. Cheers Horatio
  16. Get the itube app. Watch it on that. Your welcome:thumbup1:
  17. Cheers Mark, thought I had better let the dust settle after the hard work thread.
  18. I tube app works and it's free. Cheers August. Great vids seen them all now! Want a pfanner bar too lol
  19. And me. Did the same on one of Regs vids a month or so back. I dunt like these ol' compooter things and interweb app things. Off to listen to tut wireless
  20. Tidy machine for the £ Glad your sorted Ian!
  21. Got mine today after last weeks 5 days of hawthorn hedge reducing. Got a mate some too, his hedge laying in a couple of weeks. If rover is on commission good on him. Thanks for the insight. Would of kept with the cruddy welding gauntlets.
  22. Hi Ian have dealt with chippertech a lot in past. Pretty sure 99.9% the small Rayco can be hired without operator. I always got it for a very low cost. Sure if asked their best price they would be the cheapest about. The huge tracked vermeer on the other hand can not be hired without operator, unless they know and trust you. For what the Rayco is it not a bad machine. Two guys can lift in on the back of an arb truck. Good luck finding one though.
