  1. Anyone got an update, please. My 201 is playing up yet again, my 150 is running like a dream on the upside. Cool, cheers for any replies!
  2. Christ, what do I do, looked back on some older posts ref. the Laski, I know they are a truck load cheaper but the build quality seems suspect? Really confused now, though in a good way. Hopeful this thread will get some more posts to give some other people's opinions! Gotta love this foram:thumbup:
  3. Hadn't heard of the laski, will have to look them up. What engine does the Laski have fitted to it? Bandit, looks good there is one on arbtrader just shy of 4k doesn't say whether it plus vat or not. Not being vat reg. it's a right arse.
  4. Right I think I am now ready to go to the next level, buying a grinder. I think I have narrowed it down to the bandit hb19 and the Rayco rg13 II. The hire machine I use is the Rayco, I don't mind it it does the job, so why wouldn't I buy the familiar grinder. Well, apparently this Bandit company are know for their machines to last! Also am I right in saying you can get an attachment for the bandit so you can tow it?!?!?!?!? The bandit is more money, is it worth the extra? It's a lot of money to spend so I wanna make the right choice first time and have no regrets. What do all lot have to say don't be shy. Have I missed the crown jewel of first grinders if so let me know. Thanks.
  5. Any update on the wee DR STUMPER?
  6. I'll see your steel nail and raise you with the humble screw! Money down the drain, glad you come?
  7. Love mine, 880 that is. Would go as far as to say my favourite saw. And I have used more than my fair share. It's got more than enough power, have it on a full chisel though, in my opinion. Compare the 660/390/395 it's fuel economy is far, far superior. Only had mine for a few months used it a few times, like the others say its a one time purchase.
  8. Just had mine fixed under warranty. Starts now after 3 pulls from cold and first when warm or running out of petrol. That was my gripe, 20/30 pulls after a refuel. Ridiculous. All sorted now, and its back in my top 3:001_cool:
  9. Echo seem to be the best trimmer, but getting some of the parts can be troublesome. I sacrificed the slightly better cut the echo offers for the next day any part service that my stihl dealer offers. He is only a 15 min ride away too! Up to you if you can have your hedge trimmer out of action for long periods of time but need the very best then get echo If however you need a very reliable after sale parts service with a very close second rate cut then go stihl. I have an eye for hedging and I could not tell you which cut was echo and which as stihl cut. Just keep them sharp regardless.
  10. Cheers Big A. Hope old bill find them, not that I have to much faith in the British judicial system.
  11. Very on trend mate:thumbup1: Cheers for you sympathy. Handy just brought 880 and 150. When it rains it pours. Broken Britain. Lowest of the low nicking a workmanship tools:thumbdown:
  12. 2 hedge trimmers. Husqvarna 325hda and shindiawa long reach 2 chainsaws 201t and husky 576xp On high rd junction Roydon near Diss. Heavily sigh written white van jws I think with loads of tree photos plastered all over it. Sped off before I could get the plate details, handy. Happened just before 5pm today Thursday 30th May. Christ, would been better to have stayed in bed! Don't know why they left my stihl blower!
  13. Mine has no probs being a single. Might get stuck a bit more on mud and grass etc Ace van though Hand brake cables are expensive
  14. Normally I am up 6:30, in the garage for 7:00. Get the van loaded making sure I am on site between 7:30/8:00. Finish at around 17:00 Quotes evening and weekends. Servicing chipper, saws and other gear on a Sunday. Worked yesterday Saturday for someone else, up at 5:30 and got in at 21:30 Wednesday was a late one too, again climbing foe someone else, got home at 21:50. Glad you come? Remember when I was employed in at 7:30 knock off at 16:00/16:30. Had a life back then. Striking a work home life balance is hard when you are a fledgling company. I hope when I am more established that I can have at least one day off a week where I can just not do anything work related, other than arbtalk! Are we on schedule?
  15. Great video enjoyed that mate
  16. No dogs, this sounds a bit rubbish. Hope I am wrong, just put my order in. Brought it after the ravings from this thread.
  17. Sack him. Not good enough
  18. Do they have dog teeth/felling spikes?
  19. I have that was 2 years ago. Not even every day! Once or twice a week and then only when it was minus whatever
  20. That's great advice. Appreciate it pal
  21. Well said I wouldn't do it other wise
  22. His house is about 10m away from my van when I did start up. The drive runs between either house and the forks either way to each others garage. Do you guys get angry at the bin man when he come before 7?
  23. Dunno what to do now, reply or not? Probably p him off more if I ignoed him though
  24. Yeah mate got a mortgage on my house. Gonna get the mrs to send a letter back. She will keep it short and sweet reponding to the points he has problems with. Not gonna make it tit for tat. Basically it will end with us telling him we are doing nothing wrong and to get on with his life and stop bothering hard working people trying to get a head in lifr
