  1. Reckon the kids would love being dropped off at school in one, but maybe a bit ott for a bit of milling and firewood.
  2. Something been puzzling me, as I need at least 3 seats in my new wagon. If a vw transporter is allowed 3 seats and even a Peugeot expert which is quite small. Then why can't things like single cab 4x4 pickups have 3 seats unless you import the Toyota? Any ideas. Thanks James
  3. Looks good, shame to rip it out really. Would need a massive plot to put it back.
  4. So I'm Gunna buy a dmax soon. Is it correct that in order to pull a 3500kg trailer I will need to sit a class 2 test?
  5. Don't mention the firewood production as this is not considered forestry and will definately require planning. You can put a caravan on it with no agro and stay there 28 days a year. Planning law states that when the 28 days are up you have to move the caravan, not 20ft but too a new site, if you want to keep living in it.
  6. Thanks for that jerry. I'll give them a call on monday.
  7. Made a similar one from scaffolding a couple of years ago before we built out shed. Worked a treat
  8. Just the basic manual extra cab. Havent got a price on a chassis cab yet. Hopefully they will do one for me. It all depends how much they will nock off as to wether I will go for it.
  9. I didn't recieve a pm mate.
  10. I did consider it, but as I do a mix of construction, arb work and logs I wouldn't mind the extra space an ally body gives. Plus I reckon with mild abuse an ally body will look better for longer. Any idea how much a pro tipper costs?
  11. Hi Guys. Think im gunna buy a dmax extra chassis cab and put a tipper on it. Can anyone recommend a body builder in the milton keynes area, ive looked at city truck contracts, any one know of them. Also what should i be looking to pay for a basic ally tipper body with standard height drop sides? Many Thanks James
  12. I was considering a lc70 for a moment, but think ill stick to the dmax. Surely it would be a nightmare on parts costing you money on down time in the end.
  13. To me the definition of a butchers block doesn't mean type of wood at all, simply means it an endgrain board made up of smallish blocks. I maybe wrong but that's how I see it.
  14. I sell a lot of food boards, and wouldn't consider making out of spalted beech. I'm guessing they will be fine though. Both lookin good btw.
  15. How much do you need? Square edge or waney?
  16. Flyagaric I believe, but not sure either. Been known to munch a few in those hazy days of youth.
  17. Too far for me, but thanks for posting and not immidiately logging.
  18. Have you considered the elf and safety implications?
  19. The cost of the logs you bought and the cost of logs your recommending on ebay is the same. That's just how much logs cost. I wish they were cheaper too, then I wouldn't need to split 60 tonne a year to feed my boiler. Saying that I also wish holidays to oz were cheaper too and a new dmax but for now ill just keep on splitting.
  20. Please big J, enlighten, how can you be so sure its European?
  21. If I had to make one I'd use a couple of old builders tressles and link them together with a bit of scrap.
  22. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=30405 http://www.fuelwood.co.uk/log-and-kindling-bagging-systems/default.aspx Should help
  23. Made sure I waxed it well before I took it out, but after about the first two boards it seemed to be gone. Might try silicone spray though and see if its any better.
  24. Been drinking nettles beer the last few months, can't wait to get the press working, any day now.
