  1. I've got 3 working 051s that all run lovely. Can't believe someone would pay £100 for a non runner though. What do you think a good runner us worth?
  2. This is what I use although wikabor is good to. Cheaper if you buy powder though can mix with water yourself. http://www.boron.org.uk/Boron_shop.htm
  3. Some nice spalted beech. Too good for firewood.
  4. Nice bench. There's shops near me that would sell it for that price but pretty sure I couldn't. Where you based gobby and what Co op
  5. Thanks guys. Think my dad's going to go see a demo. Will put my thoughts up if they end up buying it.
  6. Hi. My folks asked me what I thought about this chipper so thought I'd ask you guys. Purely domestic use up to 50m max and largely just garden odds and sods off their land where they can use the chip. Opinions or better options welcome. Cheers 15 HP Electric Start Petrol Garden Chipper
  7. As Alec says brilliant for bench legs inside. Rubbish for bench legs outside. Definitely worth protecting from insect attack though.

  9. J b weld not suitable for fuel tanks but petro patch is.
  10. Got the saw running pretty good now. Thanks all who helped. Ringed one ash log with it to tune the h screw and a few times the idol seemed high but then after a few seconds it drops again. Just got to decide what to do with it now. I don't climb so don't need a topper. It probably owes me about £ 100 . Don't know what it's worth. But it will be sat in the workshop for now. Thanks all
  11. Do you do this with chain brake on or does it have to be off. Chees
  12. Yes definitely a walbro. No limiters on screws now. Doesn't mean there never was. Found settings fir what I think is the same carb on a rc boat forum so will try them later.
  13. Thanks. Just had a play and pretty sure problem is carb settings. My carb doesn't match any in the service manual .The carb I have is wt 319. 622b Both screws were only 3/4 turn out. I've had a play and can get it running better but either with a really fast low idol or low revved ropey sounding top end. Think I will watch a few videos on carb tuning and try again later. Advice appreciated. James
  14. 48" alaskan £320 this one £85.
  15. Please can we get a review when it arrives. Cheers
  16. Interesting. Never considered tanka before. It's a similar price point to the echo, do you think it's the better option? Do you offer full spares support for it. Thanks
  17. Anyone any idea of approximate high and low settings on this carb or how to find out. Thanks again.
  18. Ok thanks. I'll give the carb a complete strip and clean later.
  19. I took the carb off already and removed cover from metering side. It was spotless so I just gave it a quick blow out. I did inspect the gasket between carb and cylinder and it looked Ok but not 100%. I cleaned the air filter and the seal between filter and carb looked positive. It's strange because starts 2nd pull and all sounds and looks good.
  20. Yes normally sawdust Is the clients problem and this is stated at quote stage. I build barns and sheds where i get logs delivered to site. Mill on site and as it's a complete contract i like to leave it tidy. The last one was on a recreation ground so tidiness was imperative. I also buy and mill trees in people's back garden or on my own land and i also like to clean up I'm this situation too.
  21. Hi. I bought an echo cs350t at a farm sale last year that I have been fixing up. Have replaced several parts to make it safe. Now I just need to get it running properly. Here's the problem. Starts lovely and sounds good. If I don't touch the throttle the choke stays on and it ticks over Ok. It never seems to flood with the choke on. Im used to saws thst flood in an instant. When I pull the throttle in it revs up again sounding good then dies. Choke back on starts up then the same. Thought I'd ask before playing with the settings. Advice appreciated Cheers James
  22. Thanks. I think Ill keep an eye out for a deal or a second hand echo.
  23. Thanks. To clear things up, I will mostly need it to clear sawdust off the grass at the end of the day. Not blowing out a machine. I use a lucas mill and only clean it with compressed air in the workshop. But lucas mills do make a lot of sawdust. Advice welcome.
  24. Thanks. To clear things up. I mostly need the mill for clearing up sawdust off grass at the end of the day. Running a lucas mill I don't really need to blow it out on sight. I use compressed air in the workshop once home. I imagine it would take 15 mins or so at the end of the day. Advice welcome. Cheers
  25. Evening. I'm thinking of buying a second hand blower to help me tidy up when milling. Having never used one before I thought I would ask if people thought a hand held was suitable or back pack would be better. I wouldn't like to start a husky or stihl debate but recommended models would be great. Also does anyone have one they want to sell . Cheers James
