  1. I only do advertising through parish magazines. I have a fairly good return on the 5-6 I advertise in. Plus it’s a good way of of getting the right customers. The people I want to work for read through parish magazines for a local person who does a job well. The people who want the job doing as cheap as possible just tend to use Facebook or Google and start calling.
  2. I had one for a little while. Used it on a few jobs and didn’t really get on with it. Was always easier to throw a rope over a union if needed or put a pulley in. Ended up selling it as it was gathering dust in my kit bag.
  3. Which plant trailer is that? Fits really nicely on there. Also do the Giants have the same headstock as the Worky quads? If they do there’s a second have set of pallet forks on FB marketplace
  4. Spoke to my local dealer today. They have 3 592’s in stock with 24” x tough light bars if anyone’s looking for one. Haynes agricultural in Uckfield sussex.
  5. THIS ADVERT HAS EXPIRED!

    • FOR SALE
    • USED

My Timberwolf will be up for sale in January. It’s being traded in at the end of January if it doesn’t sell. I’ll put it up on here before it goes on FB or eBay. I purchased it from spectrum plant as a trade in 3 years ago, the advert picture is when I purchased from spectrum plant. If you’d like up to date photos I’ll send them over. Has currently racked up just under 500hrs but will increase slightly. Within the last 50ish hours has had the bearings changed and new rotor fans. Have also not long had three new tyres, have changed over to the newer style Timberwolf tyres and a new jockey wheel. About a year ago I had a trailer company service the brakes/bearings. Paintwork is very good for the age with minimal rust on the machine, has been barn stores in my ownership. Everything works as it should and I have a spare set of keys for all the locks. Depending on the price I can included three sets of spare blades. Only two negative points are the engine needs a service and the brake away cable needs replacing. I’m located just outside Haywards Heath West Sussex if you’d like to come and view.

    £7,450

  6. Yes this one in the picture. Have had no problems with it
  7. For years I’ve been using Invoice2go. It’s made my quoting/invoicing a lot easier as I can do it from my phone and you can take card payments via stripe. Very easy to use. Have recently gone over to Quickbooks as I’ll be going VAT registered soon so want one system that will do it all and my accountant can access. Did try Xero for a while but I found Quickbooks easier for me to use
  8. I’ve got a petzl zillion with a swivel fitted. Real winner for me.
  9. Our local agricultural dealer who is also a Husky dealer had 5 in stock when I went to get some bits a few weeks ago.
  10. https://shop.spectrum-plant.com/index.php/default/timberwolf-spare-parts/used-machinery.html spectrum plant have a used one for sale. It’s for a cast loader but sure you could get the bracket changed.
  11. Definitely takes a bit of getting use to. Have to slowly let the controls off or it’s flinging you around. Have had a few interesting moments.
  12. I’m hoping one might come up for sale second hand at some point. I like the fact your has the padding on either side. Mine you just have the metal side of the tank so if your getting flung about it does hurt. Need some foam to fit to the sides
  13. Was having a play with the grapple bucket that got delivered. I fully intended to pick up a Klou type grab at APF, but for £3k it can wait. Got this one from a company called stag machinery as an ex demo for £950 delivered.
  14. Speak to Robin on here and buy an ms361 from him. Had a couple of saws off him now and whole thing has been faultless.
  15. Can anyone recommend a log grab to go on a worky quad? Have found a SSQ15D for sale, comes with a spare set of wheels, counter weights, pallet forks and a bucket, and has done 8hrs from new. Managed to haggle to guy down to £11k so think it’s a pretty good deal for me.
  16. How did you get on with it? Aiming can be a little tricky but you get the hang of it
  17. Not that I do this sort of thing but I’d give them a set fee for each survey, quote, report you do based on the size of each job then ask for a percentage of work won. That way there’s no questioning of hours/time spent doing the work.
  18. I recently went from a single cab transit tipper to a hilux tipper. The work we do changed to more estate based work where we need to be off road. Yes I miss the capacity and bed size of the transit, mostly for fencing. Has made the vehicle much more useful having a 4x4 with a winch. I only really work as a team of 2-3 and we generally have two trucks on site most days anyway so can fill both trucks with chip if needed.
  19. Has any one got or used one of these, any good or bad words to say about it? Ones come up for sale not to far from me and I’ve been looking for something bigger than my 150. cheers all

    THIS ADVERT HAS EXPIRED!

    • FOR SALE
    • USED

Echo 501 with 15” Sugi hara bar. Owned the saw for a couple of years. Selling as it doesnt get used much so clearing some space. Saw has been run on Aspen from new.

    £300

  21. Where can you get a 500i from? Been on the waiting list for one for months.
  22. Depends if you value your safety at more or less than the cost of replacement bits.
  23. https://www.chrisforestry.co.uk/store/First-Aid-c115918026 Chrias Forestry does these kits
  24. In my experience they’re one of the worst. I had a claim with them and they fought me every step of the way. I had a defender stolen and ended up loosing a lot of money as they wouldn’t honour the value of the vehicle. Also lots of hidden charges when you have to claim. Never again.
  25. If you after a 60cc saw you could always buy a ms361 from Robin on here. Great saw and none of the electric stuff
