  1. Ah i have had a go at tuning the two older ones we have did a good job on one the old man woldent let it out of his sight lol both of them went back to shop for coil pack fault I found it hard work getting a tach on the lead so ended useing the force
  2. Yeah i thought you may have been thinking of another saw from your thred iv lernt you know your stuff you think there will be much scope for porting on the 150 ? All ours run almoast as rich as h screw will go As for the build quality it is made to be light and From wat i was told on stihl stand at the apf it was first intended as. A carving saw i think the top handle was a quick reaction from feed back.
  3. Na the tank it at the front. Its just the caseing there is alredy a hole there. I asume. Its for. The Handle mount for the rear handle vertion just. Got a stihl plastic screw and washer nice and easy been in use for months no isues
  4. Hears what i have done to our three 150t's. Used a bit of old endless sling and metal ring atached. Via stihl self tapper and washer. To back handle mount can then use the origonal for close atachment on harness
  5. I would verry much doubt you would recive any think as a tree owner you have a responceability to maintain your trees as you would have if they over hung a road and bt have. A right to maintain there plan just as any other Emenity .
  6. There is a lot of inconsitancy between areas squirrel damage creates a load of faults but not as many as tree rubs they only order tree cutting on falt jobs Theres no preventative work
  7. We still meet alot of engineres that dont know that bt have tree cutting contractors
  8. Haveing worked for bt for 7 years carrying out tree cutting i have never herd of it hapaning exsept in cases of bad workmanship from other contractors
  9. I was under thr impretion it was also to force better posture while useing the saw stooping you from leaning o er the saw and get you squating rather than bending over . That sed still wouldent what to use one
  10. It is bt responsability i carry out clearance for them they will only act on the matter if the line becomes faulty and even then they quite ofter just drag a new one throught on the old to replace it . On the odd ocastion we carry out preventative work. But only through a complaint from somone with a bit of clout.
  11. We do a lot of traveling in it and tot up to around the 200 mile a day mark one of the rebuilds was a droped ring the other. I think was the same i think was befor i was on firm. Parts are fairly easy to get a hold of we use ac price he fabed our mogs and is second to none with mogs in my opinion parts quite ofted have to come from germany but dont take long to come as for towing have no exspereance we only have a 50 mm ball on the u140l and only pulled small plant tralier behind it there is a poast from a bloke with a u140 swb who tows a 10 or 13 t behind it on the unimogs rock page some where
  12. Umm service record has been exspencive it times a cople of engine rebuilds. but in prespective should be exspected as its running all day everyday And more than pays for its own repairs and running You can get splitter box fitted my father had wanted from the off set but its been bussy working all these years its the. Pull away enitaly that it struggles when loaded but ones use to it you can live with it . The u100 and u90 have a five speed but i have no exsperiance with them
  13. We have a u140l they are quite rare the utilitys over hear had a few but moastly had the smaller u100 and 90's Hears ours the 4 speed box could have a better ratio setup but has done well past 12 year or so we run a 7" ducker on the front and a 12m mewp on the back
  14. Thanks for the advice bud opend up a few more options for me. Just need the spare time to get cracking
  15. Chears if i need to make up a bolt hole for the pull casette would you recoment braseing on a pice of alloy or building up anuff to make a fixing point
  16. Thank you for the reply guys didnt realise they where drilled buy hand . What are the chances of the head fitting well on an reproduction crank caseing can sorce one for about 80 od quid of the ebay i like the idea keepin the saw as origonal as poss as its only gonna be a toy The old man had it runing some 15 year ago Braseing seems a good idea but wats left is a bit oxidised would thiss afect the the bond Thanks elliott
  17. Hi guys i have recently dug out an 070 i would like to get going again . I have found there are a few places on ebay for parts . But do any of you know where i may be able to sorce just the fly wheel side of the crank case? The origonal has broke where one bolt for the pull caseing ataches and where the front handle attaches i dont see the origonal beeing repairable. Dose any one think it could be repaired? Have found a whole crank case on ebay but seller will only sell as full caseing and fule tank
  18. I dug an old 070 out of our shed the other day been thinking of getring it running for a while requires a few bits one of them beeing the small half fan side of the crank case . i can sorce a lot of the bits i need found it hard to find a crank case without having to buy six . Just womdering if any one knows of anywhere i could sorce just the pice i need ? Im sure i have the pull casette and a bar for it somewhere
  19. Wouldent surprise me if the vid was posted in tribute to his passing .. some speed wouldent take much to go wrong verry quick
  20. I have made strop ring on the 150 t as the origonal had reports of letting go also use the old one to stowe on harnes
  21. There is an help chat window on btconnect.com haf the same isue with ours month ago will be live with a it tech your probably have to re set you pass word and security q's as bt would have changed them if some one or somethink have been trying to access you acount
  22. I am dyslexsic as is one of my brothers and farther my yonger brother isn't tho and we are all tree surgeons. i must admit it was probably what stoped me from studying arb at a collage. But i like to think we excel more in the practical sence . I fined i or other dyslexsics grasp mechanics and kenetics better than some others 3/4
  23. Alex price can sort you out with all the parts. There be special order tho if you good with a spanner if you retro fitting It'll be easyer to operate off foot clutch and save a fair load of cash rather than fitting a doubble clutch but. To be honest. Your better off getting one with one fitted or get. Somo e like pricie to do it. I recon your eyeing up the. 140l on ebay Elliott
  24. Your welcome jojo. With any luck. A few more female arbs will be able to give there opinion on the matter and. Input more on this forum through thiss thred . If us lot can hold our lip . And not make clever coments
  25. Thr closest you will see in the uk to it would probably be one of our mogs with a mewp chipbox and chipper works well for us the iveco shown in pic erlier only rilly good for changing light bulbs ok for bits and pices.
