  1. I tip my cap:thumbup: to you steve well done feells good to be apart of thank yoh for the oportunity
  2. I havent had much experiance with traked spider mewps i would think a the foot print would be to big for some hiways work altho there reach is verry impresive. Van style truck mounted platfoms i can defantly recomend for hiways work on a 4wd evern better. And with the van mounts the knukle on moast stays within the confinda of the vehicle wen workg un like scisor type. Less likly to be sruck buy trafic or ather objects in confind spaces. All depends on the majorty of your work
  3. got just the tool for that
  4. like the way the hedge has been kept arount the wing.. at least theres no need for blow vacing after cutting the hedge just fire the jet up jobs a gooden
  5. I enjoy looking out for fox glove after reading into them seen a few about a book of mine says there leafs can grow up to 25cm would be verry impresive to see one in this contry sporting that kinde of folage

  11. sounds like a nut slaper on the walk to your cuper from tree would speek to somone with loler knowlage as its not what its desinged for. Some fig 8 dont have ce mark its made to just create friction and should be backed up with a prusic in use. A large dmm or isc ring will solve you problem but if it sute you all good
  12. I second the knut dosn't release quite as smothly as the vt but grabs alot beter i find
  13. yeah i see have you used on any biger lumps looks a tidie system
  14. Nice thred Adam. Thankyou for takeing the time to create an informative and thorough thred. I think it would be grate a format simaulair to the arbtalk knot guide filtering out all the coments that arnt needed (like this one ) Stephen thay shireke techneaque looks the muts. Your own creation? dose it work best within a certan degree of angle? have you tryed it with a pully in place of the limb was wondering if the reduction in friction wold make a straghter line of tregectory? Somthink i'll have a play with in future thanks for sareing
  15. Hi im new to splicing and would love some of you more excperianced splicers opinions on my atemps samson ice tail e2e. Sirus 10mm. And yale xtc.i rilly struglled burrying thr crossover of the core and cover on the xtc i exspect it dosent help that it was a used pice. And the fact i tied my sroper knot quite close to the final burry. But the sirus i found nice only jip i got from that was on the cross over the core dosent like holding the cover tightly untill you pull it back in to the throaght. I can defantly see myself geting hooked on this.
  16. hi i think it maybe silver fir got quite a rounded top
  17. Hi Any idea of weight and size of load? Elliott
  18. Use contact page http://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home/contactus/tellussomething/tellussomethingaboutournetwork/tellaboutnetwork.do i would use the dameged plant option with any luck you should get a quick responce
  19. just warning the guy its a bt pole not eleccy. i have knows bt billing farmers for flaleing along side a pole and riping the joint and 3m of cable off a pole in the past
  20. hear you are treequip maby ive not been useing the right terms Network information - Wayleaves i would recomend if you think its dodgy get it tested if it looks sound get on with it just note if damage is caused to there plant exspect a bill. there like that. the plant is normaly quite robust . a nother pointer is it the cables cross roads make sure the cable will not sag in road if it is held up buy what you cuting
  21. incredible and inspireing love the giant hand have been looking for a cance to do somethink similer. looked throught your galery amazing elliott
  22. thay always have as far as i know just like eleci bord thay have wayleaves on private land and rights to clear there plant thay just dont cut as drasticly as eleci and dont got round in 6 year cycles
  23. You quite right but if you have a fillin job that can be done that day its gona be a bumper day have only picked up for other companys we know so far. But its somthink that will only be asked for if conditions suite any ways. I beleve if you running as a company you should hold a waste carriers licence any way regardless of the amount you store or carry there not that exspencive
  24. Hi im a contractor for btitish telecom i would segest you contact bt if you have any worrys at all of the integrety of there plant. Bt do have way leaves and are a statatory provider however thay do not have a mantanance cycle thay carry out tree work to provide and replace/maintane there plant i would as it looks as if the pole is in a foot path i would think there is no wayleave on thiss pole. if your in doubt ask if the pole can be tested buy a enginere and express that you will be clearing the pole of obstruction for safe climbing there should be a ticket on the pole showing date of last test. If the pole its self is ingraved year 91 92 or hasent been tested since 1997 it should not be climed tampered with as it is in need of testing i recomend you or tree owner contact bt
  25. we have recently offered thiss service on thiss forum to arb company's in and around the southampton area( http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/employment/34975-trunck-removel-site-save-time-effort.html )we have made a few pickups in the past lifting trunks over fences walls and off road areas . not much take on it yet but i think it would save companys with out the equipment to recover such amounts of waste a lot of time . say half a day ringing up an oak trunk and walkin out to transit making 3 loads and clearing up all the mess. or uss crane the trunk over 2 fences dident even have to fell it on the old boys lawn hour with the cup of tea and a chat but it relys on people keeping you in mind for such events
