  1. When it comes to chainsaw maintenance course how is going to tell him the clutch is left hand thread, best of luck 🤞.
  2. I use stockboard 9mm thick and have ran 9 ton cherry picker on it, left slight dent in ground, have back ifor trailer over on to edge of lawn to load it with no dents left. It has gone up a lot in price since last year. Mcveigh and Parker were the cheapest then Mole valley, never take any notice of web prices as I have got better deals by ringing up. It doesn't like standing up as it is very flexible. Best way of moving it around in garden is once holes are drilled in each end and sides make a long handled hook and paint it red so it doesn't get lost.
  3. Have you seen it, some people make a fuss over little things. Bucket of water and cloth sort most marks out
  4. Got 6 sheets of 9mm stock board which we use to move small loader and digger about on, also use them to move tracked mewp around. On a large job early last year we used them as area to leave brash to chip near chipper. Which i had bought 12 at the time now.
  5. As a standard truck they carry weight but we add extra sides and roof, so less payload.
  6. How the hell is he going to pick up a IBC full of wood with that. Also builders bags are different sizes, got a couple which are half a cubic metre.
  7. Just cut the neck off you have put on and use frame. Or as you say just finish it and use it as small jib to pick stuff up.
  8. My brother runs Makita and Bosch and has an adapter to use bosch battery in makita stuff, makes it a bit bulky bit bloody handy.
  9. Adding any rear weight to small loader will change balance of it lots, if I hang weights on the back of my giant with no attachment on front or just bucket and go backwards and turn and stop it will go to tip over, have heard from a dealer that someone added to much weight to the rear of a bigger giant loader and flipped it right over on to side going backwards and turning with half a bucket of dirt. So be careful how much you add.
  10. My mate has just bought a riveter recons it's the best thing since sliced bread. If you shop around there cheap as well. Nothing like a tidy tool box to make jobs easier, sent the other day sorting all spanners in my tool box into metric and imperial groups.
  11. Ifor williams switched about with tyre and size for years why the hell they never stuck to one size on all there flat, tipper and plant trailers. My 12x6 drop side has had no end of punctures and always right on the edge of tread. Last week got one which was a very small stone like a sharks touth.
  12. If yard is concrete, use old digger track bolt it to a big lump of steel weld some tine sockets to it to fit pallet tines, or if you have 4in1 bucket just grab it.
  13. I ve not got one, but uncle has been driving diggers for well over 40 years, his son bought a second hand one to fit a 8 ton 360 he couldn't believe how easy it made job after years of chasing stuff with bucket. But like other have said a thumb is also a game changer when moving brash and timber about plus a good driver on machine and bloke on saw laying brash down cut in the right length to move about.
  14. There's a company called microplant in suffolk how run Opico skidster loaders, maybe worth a call to see if he knows of a supplier. Microplant - Hire, Sales & Servicing of Mini - Loaders, Diggers, Tractors, Trenchers and Hole Borers WWW.MICROPLANT.NET
  15. Maybe worth a try. Online Tyre Store - Tractor, Truck, Turf, Forklift & More! WWW.BIGTYRES.CO.UK Specialists in Tractor Tyres, Turf Tyres, Forklift Tyres, Truck Tyres, Quad Tyres & more. Shop Online or...
  16. Giant and Avant are the same I have been told,
  17. Made by a member on here, Cannon access (Tom Cannon).
  18. Original I recon as bolt still had paint on.
  19. Lost hydraulics on 3pl o fendt the other week, one problem was it dumped all the oil from hydraulic tank into the back that was 20 litres of oil in the wrong place. Spoke to mechanic and said seal in arm ram, easy job access via cab remove mat and plate undo plate with 4 bolt and pull out, straight forward to that point then tried to put new seal on with no joy. Off to local hydraulic lads tomorrow hope they can fit it.
  20. Got asked twice last week how do you manage to work in this weather, my answer was go value for money weather. You just get on with job and don't stand around.
  21. Local hire company should have one. All depends on how big would of thought 5 inch machine would do and easy to push around by a couple of people.
  22. It will fit both ways, so I would check first.
  23. Baffle plate the right way around, makes one hell of a differents.
