  1. Be ready for many visits from plod looking to see what's happening.
  2. Did a small sycamore yesterday, just cut and chuck had to make increase distance between set cuts. Was around - 2 while doing it and had been - 8 over night.
  3. There is nothing wrong with thermostat as it warms up quickly but I want instant heat. It is a landy we are talking about. Was also think of an inverter then plug a small heater in, could also use it to power other stuff.

  6. If in full sun in the summer they will move all over the place. Hung a pair of 8ft softwood field gates for a customer which were in full sun were the two met there was a twist of over a foot by the middle of the first summer.

  9. No more pictures, what it is a very heavy top hat 30kg with a bit of 20mm plate bolted to it with a old chipper blade bolted to it. all bolts are 20mm.
  10. Another home made tool for digger, mark 1 needs a little change to make it better but ripped out 3 old willow roots in 45mins and a conifer root in 20mins.
  11. My neighbour has put his wood burner ash on his compost heap twice now when still a little hot and set fire to it.
  12. Chestnut pales, very strong and easy to take down and roll up when you move on. Not cheap but you can reuse.

Mig is ok if you can keep wire dry, borrowed a flux core set up off someone was alright to start with a new reel and then went to use it a couple of days later and wire would not feed, it was corroded. That's why I have never bought one. Using an inverter is easier then old buzz box,. Got a 200amp mosa genset what a tool that is.
  17. Run a oxdale, and made a table to good work height and long hoses split tons of wood with it.
  18. Have you changed battery in remote, had similar problem with winch on one of my trucks it would winch in them stop, remote would not keep sending signal to winch to keep relay switched.
  19. No idea what call there would be for stump grinder in North Yorkshire. In my area essex suffolk border you would have a job getting work for stump grinder as most companies have there own. Ever thought of grass cutting I always get asked in my area about it.
  20. With stump grinding you have got to be good on spanners if you want to keep running costs down. And is there much work for them as most tree surgeons my way have there own or just get stump busters in. Were are you based.

  23. Never had a problem with mine. Run digger and mini loader with turf tyres on. Just don't stop once you start going up that's what causes a problem. What model of trailer are you trying load on to and what length of ramp.
  24. You may find it easier to just get ford or massey weights and make frame to hook them on. Think I have seen ford ones hooked on valtra.
