  1. If you are going to use them tapered extractor them don't as bolt is to small you will lock it tighter in hole and maybe brake it in bolt then you will never drill it out. You will be better off using a torx bit out of screw driver set and drive it into small hole.
  2. Never had much luck with stud extractors were you drill a hole. Tack weld a washer then weld nut to washer then just undo it.
  3. Repaired a hole in echo with plastic tank in very simple place, I used 2 part epoxy by evo stick. Pushed through hole into tank and formed a mushroom head and the same out side so it was like a rivet.

  9. I started a thread about 4 months ago with Thuja dying, well there's also alot of Scott's pine in the same area dying and I ve spotted others around Essex / Suffolk border. It happens very quick I topped the Thuja in Feb as tops were dead and got a call in April to take them right down, beginning of June I took them down and the timber had no sap leach out of it and it was no problem picking pieces up a foot round and 6 foot long.
  10. I do put sheets down but always get the odd stone go through chipper, find it a pain push clippings with something like piece of wood then chipper gets hold of it

  12. I haven't got a week to do 1 job, some of the hedge cutting i do fill a 4 cubic metre truck. But on small hedges it would work.
  13. Is there anything else on the market like this? getting a lot of hedge cuttings to get rid of were customer has burnt in the past and now wants them took away and customer are asking about getting rid of garden waste, which is stuff I am not putting through chipper.
  14. They were very crafty, I looked on there web page a week ago for chainsaw boots and theirs were cheap also trousers were they trying to get are money and do a runner. All anyone that wants money back is follow letter on web page.
  15. I ve anchored some big trees with loader tractor with bucket stuck in ground and had tirfor with a double pull to pull rope, when hooked winch rope of land rover to rope and used that as main puller. When I work for someone he alway hung a large pulley block on were winch cable joined pull rope to give extra weight to it so if winch didn't keep up weight of rooe/pulley block took over.
  16. Looking for a pair of lightweight chainsaw boots for the summer months anyone know a good pair to go for.
  17. A lot of people are now requesting to leave cord timber on site. Unless it's conifer then they want it gone.
  18. So a quick update, spock to Parker hydraulic up in Norfolk very helpful as they are importers of Atos products. Turns out all I need was a DHE-0710-X-00/DC which replaces the old one which was under £200 compared with over £500 timberwolf agent's price to fix.
  19. My neighbour has one and it still go but he did say a while ago it's heavy for him now. A mate of mine son bought a mint 028 a couple of years ago from W G Green they maybe worth a ring but you will need to speak to Reg.
  20. It's the moth you have to stop, customer asked me today about it and is there anyway of stop the moth I said as a joke mothballs but it has got me thinking, there must be something to put moth off.
  21. Cut the tendon in thumb on left hand 4 years ago, still have days when it's painful and I can feel the knot in the stitch. I have to watch pulling gloves off that are tight that's not easy when I have big hands.
  22. It was one hell of a wiggle I gave it, was moving the mounting bracket about and it was soaked in wd.
  23. The problem is i can't split it down to remove that piece. Will ring them tomorrow as they have so old stock also I ve message parker hydraulics how are Atos agents. Just need right one to match ports on maniford.
  24. Mole grips and gave it a good wiggle. It's an Atos dhi -0710/wp 24 coil is sp. cuo-14dc/80
  25. Can't get coil off by undoing plastic cap, no luck even with a good tap from hammer. Can't see why timberwolf agent wants £550 for solenoid and manifold and a hydraulic supplier only £70 for solenoid can I just fit one off the shelf. Looks them up they are 3 position open port.
