  18. I would never hire out that type of machine unless on my tractor with operator. My old boss hired a swipe to local estate to clear some ground, told them repairs would be charged to them, it cost them more for repairs then the hire cost.

  20. I would use shaped piece of tin stuck on with CT1 sealer great stuff. Stuck a roof tile back together with it on a garage I drop saw on a a temp repair till I got new tile replace it and throw old tile on truck and it didn't brake.
  21. Bad earth, Loss starter motor lead. My mate have a BMW sports car for weeks he had trouble starting it would just click, mechanic said put new battery on it no improvement. Got me to look at it will I was there, opened bonnet and got him to turn key big spark from starter turned out main battery lead was lose. To check earth get a jump lead and put it on negative on battery and other end on body of starter if you can't get it on starter any good shiny bit on engine.
  22. No good telling them it's not been modified as they will not pay out. Both Landys are with Adrian Flux and come in at around £600 the pair that with 1 other named driver, and limited mileage on both which brings it down a lot.
  23. Never had any luck with NFU with modified land rovers once I mentioned it they stopped asking questions and said we don't insure them.
  24. So a lot of you are quoting you have fleet policy, I have always been told need 3 or more vehicle to get policy. So how are you doing it with only 2.
  25. I did it once when I rang to renew, when lady on phone asked if everything was correct I said no price was to high, she said there maybe a better quote and put my vehicles through the system. Came back with a like for like quote around £100 cheaper.
