  4. My neighbour has hy-crack splitter he was splitting oak and he turned the piece he was splitting and had his thump in the split when it closed up the problem was it just kept hold of the log and didn't split it and he could not stop the tractor which was a Ford 7600 all he could do was shout for help. When I heard him went to look and pull the stop on engine and the started getting him out, so set up a stop. I used it to split Eucalyptus once it would wined the odd lump on and nothing would happen and the it would shoot off the screw point towards me if I didn't stand back. Dangers machine to use I use a hydraulic splitter know.
  5. But did you price it up with money back on the drums for scrap.
  6. The over hang on my 130 is more than 300mm from the rear cross member works fine. The more over hang the more the tow bar has to be spaced out add more weight to back axle when towing, the tow bar on my 1 is just the standard drop plate with ball keeping every thing close, the only problem with it is if I tow a 170 nifty lift hoist and go to back up and turn to tight it hits the corner of body so I now fit a 100mm spacer when towing a hoist.
