  1. I ve had new plugs that were broken, when I have problems with stuff always use plug from other machine to, know it's good. Had a problem with a Husqvarna saw last year, would start and tick over but splutter at full revs, tried different plug carb clean, then change ignition module for one on other saw and fixed it. Years ago working for someone he had saw that wouldn't go, was quite new so I took it back to dealer as I was passing, they point bank stood there and said couldn't be ignition module, but I was 99% sure so pulled plug cap off and put finger in cap and pulled starter. And I didn't get a shock but dealer did.
  2. Show them how to disconnect chipper and see what reaction you get. If no one has shown them there's your problem, may only be one doing it wrong.
  3. I was told by woodland officer last year council order over powers felling licence as long as you have paper chain. Near me there's a lot of 28 day notice being given on trees fell by highways, must have new policies.
  4. I wear a Deerhunter smock, keep me dry but outer layer of material is like a sponge and takes ages to dry. Good leggings are needed as legs get soaked.
  5. I am thinking someone is pulling cable and not plug when disconnecting it from truck.
  6. If once started it then starts OK but left a couple of days will not start, you have a small air leak. Check all jubilee clips and give fuel fitter a tighten, or if do for a change, change it. Most of kubota engines in chippers self bleed if you leave ignition switch on for a will, so if above fails to work would fit new pump.
  7. Disc in chipper are heavy, and some tractors don't have soft start, old tractors were you dipped clutch pedal and in gauged lever and release slowly were easy.
  8. That's how I get my GreenMech going.
  9. That's going to be an art in getting that to start spinning. I know the trouble I have getting my GreenMech going.
  10. You worry to much, what class would DVLA put it in.
  11. Bit we're fabricated in east anglia years ago, I now a lad that welded hoppers together. Always be assembled in Stowmarket.
  12. Why didn't you just fell at ground level and home.
  13. Which people would get it right as timberwolf is owned by Alamo group so they have bought GreenMech.
  14. Vortex strimmer cord is the stuff to use, lovely finish on short grass. Practice like other's have said. Flymo maybe quicker.
  15. Get a good fitter to service it regularly so he knows machine, and when you ring him to ask for help more likely to come out.
  16. MEWP as not easy to assess condition under ivy before climb.
  17. Ash tree from last week, with dieback owner wanted to retain it, and keep some ivy for habitat.
  18. So everything turned up this morning. One thread has been helicoiled by someone and both were tight. So will see if my idea of using Nord - lock washers works, when I was tightening them could feel evertime it went over ridges.
  19. Customer asked me to look at exhaust on his saw which has come loss after dealer repair, so bolts have come loss again one missing exhaust cracked and no sign of gasket. Professional repair?. So has anyone used Nord-lock washer to hold them tight. I know threadlock them but want a belt and braces job.
  20. You should be able to find cheap grab as they are not that powerful machine, even a cheap Chinese one may do.
  21. That's just mental for a small exhaust. Got to be one the same used on something else. Can't see specific to Timberwolf. Cut and weld could be cheaper.
  22. Better off with an old fashion bashing hook.
  23. Yes that's the one.
  24. Found out today need new one, so no one open to ring.
  25. Need a new hydraulic tank breather filter, looked online and nearly fell over. Anyone know of cheaper ones to use.
