  1. So how are people fixed for the August bank holiday weekend?
  2. I wouldn't say longer just one that does not allow the wrench to drop into neutral
  3. Hello joe, you tried it with the wrench yet mate?
  4. Given the date 18th century buildings were built on what materials you had to hand, roof timbers were no different, its wasn't like it is today were you could order what you wanted, it was a case of let's go to the wood and see what's lying around or what decent trees there were to complete the whole job.... A lot of roof timbers also came in from old boats that were no longer needed. My theory on tree stock back then around the east coast would be pretty much similar what we would see today only more stock, the chances of it being both ash and beech are quite high, no doubt there were pine timbers within the same roof also, the only way to find out would be to cut and sand a peice down.. Sorry!
  5. Kernmaster is a great rope, stretch wise??? Well its good to have some stretch in the line to absorb the loads, I think climbing on a total static line is IMO not really advisable. when me Ian and Dan joined both mine and Ian's ropes together to access a spruce I think the only thing causing a lot of stretch was the fact it was over so many springy spruce limbs, climbing with it Drt I feel would be ok but a little hard on the hands pulling you body up without the use of a foot ascender due to its silky smooth sheave and being 11mm diameter.
  6. Thanks Tim, It's always hard looking from a climbers view especially from a camera lens, getting the scale and map of the garden from just one view often leads to these type of questions being asked, Will we be expecting anymore videos in the future? It would be a shame not to now you started Good stuff mate Adam
  7. Great little video there Tim, real smooth negative rigging. Obviously there were reasons behind the stem being blocked down, which I'm not sure of but was a vertical speedline not an option? I can only see the lawn you were protecting, sorry mate don't mean to sound rude

With all throw lines I find there memory is far to good and they all need working once in a while, all I do is find a big open space and stretch it out using a figure of 8 or a couple of wraps in a bina to work out the memory, do this a couple of times and you will be tangle free for a while mate
