  1. It should do mate it was filmed of an iPad no editing straight to you tube??? Very strange Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. It may state 10 years but in reality???? I think five years is a max to have a helmet in good order to do its job right! Think of the degrading side of things such as UV light! I personally would scrap any helmet in good working order or not after 5 years! This is of cause IMO Adam
  3. I can defiantly recommend the sugio as for the sharpening kit it's a complete waste of money, these saws are machined for performance and doing them by hand is time consuming and not really any better than it would be when blunt. Just buy a new blade for it
  4. Made this for a friend but thought it maybe useful to others on here who use SRT and still use the lanyard over the shoulder rubbish, nothing special http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=plcp&v=nyfqp3PvNw8 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk Mobile App

  7. They have to be some of the best pictures I've seen on here Sean Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Horse chestnut limb!!!! Customer was going to have it of as a 3m stump!! After removing 2.5/3m I think this was the better option! I think in total at a rough estimate we removed about 650kg a good 1/4 of a 7.5ton of chip and a few 6" lengths of timber. Cuts ranged between 4/6" diameter Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. Best hoody I've ever owned warm, light and durable, if your thinking of buying one but want to try it on first don't bother just get one! Top quality stuff Steve thanks.

Like hell would I miss on an opportunity like that! Buzzing Ill post a few more in a bit ran out of photo spaces Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. An idea for you regarding the MEWP class, why don't you have it in a neutral position then the competitor has to move it into position, set it up and through they hoop things? Just a thought I can't really remember how it was setup last year? I just remember it being in the same place every time I see it being used? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Thanks Ali, I've got a lot of local stuff on booked out till first week in May, had a lot of enquires and from this but being busy has led to a lot of enquires not getting me in which I fully understand. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Little sensitive job this morning, a semi mature horse-chestnut, been heavily reduced in the past 8/10 years, showing signs of decay, ill get some other pictures in a little bit, not really any need for before photos but first photo I've removed approx 1/1.5m from the left hand portion of the crown, then second a large lateral limb by approximately 2/2.5m then around a 10/15% thin mainly on the tips to reduce some foliage weight in the summer.
  14. Do you do every tree in one day Benn? I've reduced trees that's taken 3 days to do because of the sensitivity and rigging involved! I don't see how a job like this could of been done any quicker even more so as we only see a portion of the tree? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. Thanks everyone to loose a friend like this is hard, but to see her suffer for our own sake would of been cruel, I can live with myself knowing she is now at peace. It's been tough Stephen, but us arbs ate tuff as you know mate it takes a lot to break us. This week has been no exception testing me, I'm good though filled with happiness and but still thoughts of sadness. There is always someone worst of than yourself and thoughts are with them! Thanks mate Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. Yes I was thinking the same thing, but thought of whipping the end of the protectors to stop this happening, I was also in Carl's boat so thanks for the link Paul
  17. I'm the same Mate, a 10oz is great for accuracy on 40/50 some 60ft open spread crowns but anything tight of higher I much prefer 14oz
  18. Very upsetting day on Thursday as while I was working my dad had to take creed my 8 year old Rottweiler to the vets for a check up on a lump!!!! It wasn't good news, she was riddled with cancer from head to toe, the vet said that we could give her steroids to ease her pain but she was to big for kimo, we did not want her to suffer so dad made the call to put her to sleep, I will never forget her and will always have great memories, I know a lot of you will of been through this and you will know my pain, it's hard but I'm doing well, my old man misses her like crazy as she had spent the last 5 years living with him and mum and there 14 year old retriever Barny. This picture sums just how soft she was. Sorry to put a downer on such a happy thread Adam
  19. Maybe it's a sign to have a wee bet on the donkeys mate
  20. Just thought I'd share a couple of my redirect options while on the subject, Simple but effective when on bigger timber, or when you have run out of slings and binas, also it keeps the compression of the main anchor point. Just a 60cm Lyon sling with dmm senital bina, nice and simple, just choke the sling through itself attach bina clip in line and rock and roll. This one is pretty much a mixture of the first 2, whist keeping the compression away from the main stem by creating a little slack in the line between the alpine butterfly knot and main anchor, I like to use this on windy days as it takes some drag out the line from the sway! 21. Thanks for sharing mate:thumbup1: There's a few mixed reviews on the original article, and a few $$ numbers that I'm not sure about but apparently $1.500.000 to create the tree sculpture!
  22. 2 Lyon tape slings with DMM sentintal binas and a spare sentintal so I can take a bite from the top of the wrench couple of wraps around the desired redirect point and clip the loop and legs of line together with the sentintal, then I also carry an abundance of natural redirects
  23. Nice little video that Ali:thumbup1: Did you ring the rest down or rig it mate?
  24. Haaaa! I dare you:biggrin: Lets let this one slip mate
