Nathan your a legend, thanks for a great day, I know most of it was Srt climbing and sorry to the lads who wanted a smaller tree with lots of limb walks guess we just got excited see the spruce and its height and went up it like a bull in a china shop, home now so will upload the pictures from my other camera in a while but here's a few from the iPhone At this point I was across fro dan and joe in an 80ft sweet chestnut taking photos of them getting the measurement of the lime Joe near the top of the lime, pictures are not great but there's some good ones of the camera The big spruce or not so big from this distance, even standing there it really did not look nowhere near 119ft About 15ft from the top More to come:biggrin:

  19. I 100% agree with you Carl, as I said it was crap traffic management and poor communication, but I stand by what I say jo public will never seize to amaze me when it comes down to common sense
  20. Don't give me that older wiser crap mick! One of my best friends at school was a keen cyclist and because he was concentrating on what someone else was doing got him self killed under a lorry, ok not every cyclist does it but I guarantee he was watching what the bloke up the tree was doing rather than the road! After all its not an everyday thing seeing someone up a tree, for some folk anyway, I've been on road side tree work before and seen 2 or 3 ancients happen because they were to ingrosed in what was going on instead of the road! One of them happened to be a cyclist!
