    Iv managed to start off some acorns I got off a job by storing them in woodchip in the fridge. Few have sent out tap roots so their on the window sill now..

    Best bet is synthetic base layers-don't stay as wet as cotton and change them regular.

    Read more in depth about the cancer causing effects of fish oils as iv just done and it doesn't seem to well done.

    I'm told agas use about 40 litres of kerosene/week (average 2.5kW??)so as long as you can burn 60kg of dry wood through a week that should give similar performance, a lot more if it's heating radiators. Pretty sure I use more than that in a week. Turned into a chore tbh keeping mine fed. Always get people with the same"oo you don't pay for gas tho"

    Mike I know how you feel pal-we had a Rayburn 355 fitted 18months since and despite the savings the wife HATES it.. I pretty much always empty the ashes, bring in logs, clean the bloody thing but she still moans..

    Not that it makes any difference but one of the best climbers iv worked with still uses a Willans and dodgy 3 ply.
