  1. See about getting a zoning exemption if that what it takes. Did not notice that you were a little SW of the UK when I post my first reply:001_rolleyes: easy-lift guy
  2. If your fresh out of school, I would suggest working for another firm to start. Starting out Green in any industry and learning on the fly may not be your best course of action. If you have all of your qualifications under your belt, work for someone or another firm first. Unless you have at least 18 months of savings to fall back on, if things don't work out on your own, don't do it. Nearly all start up businesses fail due to under capitalization among other reasons. Gain your experience with a firm that has been there and done that First. Save your money and keep your living overhead as low as you can go. I believe in 5 years time you will have enough experience and funds saved to go out on your own. BTW, I have been there and done that. easy-lift guy
  3. Must have been a busy news cycle seeing as I live only 4 hours south of the location. Reads like human error and the owner of the tree service, having someone work that was underage and lacking enough experience to complete the work at hand. Not sure having standards would have or could have prevented this horrible accident from occurring. Common sense and safety considerations would have gone a long way to prevent this. Both were not present. easy-lift guy
  4. Based on your previous reply, I suspect in nature grafting of material does not exist as well. I have never found any compelling evidence supporting the use of any material to support the creation of Second wall around a tree wound either man made or by nature. easy-lift guy
  5. The West side of the Atlantic or Pond. easy-lift guy
  6. Not that I am aware of. I suspect the market share is so much larger that the shear number of dealers precludes this from happening, at least I hope it does not:sneaky2: easy-lift guy
  7. Tree wound dressing is sold in many forms here stateside. I have found that the use of such material only benefits the manufacturers and foolish customers willing to buy out of shear ignorance. Allow the wound to heal naturally and move forward. easy-lift guy
  8. With the beruaucracy you have mentioned, I am surprised you got as far as you did. Reads like someone dropped a dime on your plans and you will have to remain in a holding pattern until and only if you bend over far and long enough to meet the needs of a few. This project may or may not be worth it in the end, only becuse of the insane rules and regs in posed against people in business in the UK. That being said fall back and reassess your situation. Logically weight out your pros and cons and decide. You should not squander any more emotional capital on this matter, since the ROI may not be worth it in the end. easy-lift guy
  9. Thanks for answering the question for Billybigtree, looking forward to his reply as well. easy-lift guy
  10. Billbigtree, are you mad about the items being sold to people that may or may not know how to use the gear?. And in turn hurt them selfs or others in the process, hence raising operating cost because of increased insurance cost due to preventable accidents in the first place?. Unfortunately in this industry and many others the customer needs to be aware of the persons qualifications and tools before jumping on the lowest price, sadly this rarely happens on either side of the Atlantic. Take care of yourself and your own business affairs as a professional. I suspect you will prevail in the end. easy-lift guy
  11. What a massive load of poop. How pathetic, on the part of the Police and weather or not charges should or could of been made. Really sad that the owner of the caravan felt bad about not having insurance on the vehicle?, another blame game Victim,. easy-lift guy
  12. Any assistance from a fellow member would be much appreciated. I would have left 1 unit behind for Dan, only problem I sold out at the show:thumbup1:. Thanks to all for a great show, a wonderful stay, visit in the UK. easy-lift guy
  13. I believe those policies already exist in at least Two countries, China, North Korea come to mind!. easy-lift guy
  14. The unemployment rate according to the government calculations is alleged to be less than 8%. Actual unemployment is more like 20+%. Seems the dictator in chief mandated no one can be counted after your unemployment benefits run out. That's over 20 Million, and climbing! With nearly 50% of the country on the dole to one degree or another the actual number of people working out of over 330 Million is very low compared to the number of jobs lost and continuing to be lost daily. easy-lift guy
  15. Planned marketing and obsolescence with both company's lines is the name of the game. Always a chance of some cross over with brands models, just happens that way. easy-lift guy
  16. Thanks dan, I know I can count on you:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
