  1. Thanks Rob Therefore you'll be receiving my next order in the near future. Al
  2. Because if it ever breaks down it can be fixed by anyone within twenty minutes with only a spanner and screwdriver!
  3. I like my echo hedge trimmers. The only kit I haven't had problems with. Unlike all the others.
  4. Chainsawbars website advertises Canon bars but out of stock. I've never had one but like the fact that they're durable. Are they also heavier than Oregon and Sugihara bars? Thanks.
  5. I realise I didn't describe the situation very well. Prior to the Sena installation, the right muff had lost its pressure against my head. It transpires that the problem is the spring in the bracket. Anyway, I've spoken with Yvonne (Yve on here) at Clarkes Forestry, who was a wealth of good info, and she is sending me replacement brackets. Additionally, the idiot factor has been involved and when fitting the Sena speaker, the foam inside the muff was reinserted the wrong way round. That didn't help! Anyway, it's better but not great although the new bracket should solve that.
  6. The fuel filter will be found along the fuel line. Follow it from the fuel tank. The oil filter is easily spotted on the side of the engine, low down. Stan old oil through the sump plug. If it's like my last A540, tension the belts by adjusting the engine mounts. Why on earth do you want to change the hydraulic oil?
  7. Hi Rob I see that list Canon bars but they are out of stock, currently. When do you anticipate new stock? Thanks Al.
  8. I would vote for Stein Kreiger. Toughest and comfiest trousers we've ever had.
  9. I agree but British policies ensure that everyone gets screwed except for the wealthiest and the most corrupt! However, that's the subject of another thread, probably on another forum! Hahaha!
  10. So I have my 2511tes but once again there is no tuning tool supplied. My dealer says I can buy it and it costs over £40! Ridiculous! So what is the alternative? These tools must be available I just don't know what they'd be called. BTW I know there's a 2511 thread but I can't find it.
  11. And I had nearly no help from Al, honest, did it almost myself. 😳😜😂
  12. Update: Due to my stellar technical genius I have paired my Sena with my iPhone6.
  13. I didn't know that you can get a tree shear for the Avant!
  14. Ok. The load is doubled while you are base anchored and ascending on the opposite side of the stem. Therefore the anchored side of the rope is vertical and your side of the rope is vertical. When you arrive at the top (or near) and move out through the crown, the load alters but you then have to consider some lateral forces as well as the compression force. Multiple redirects help to solve this problem but one must always consider the forces on every redirect.
  15. That's wrong. Top anchor applies the same load wether it's SRT or DDRT. Base anchor for any system doubles that load, (prior to the installation of a redirect).
  16. Hi Yve. I've done it carefully using a very skinny file to create just enough space for the wire to run through between the shell and cushion. Curiously, the right muff doesn't sit firmly against my head anymore which means the left muff is also slightly ineffective. This happened before the Sena was fitted though. Something must have worn or broken in the bracket/spring thingy. Any suggestions? I love the Protos and would be very upset if I had to regress to an old fashioned helmet.
  17. Right on! 👍🏼👍🏼
  18. So no CE approval then.
  19. Sounds like blunt rollers or snapped top roller spring.
  20. Did you wear it during warm weather? How does the ventilation seem? Thanks Al.
  21. How's the CT helmet Timon? How is the ventilation or is it rank like the Stein and Kask? I don't know what it looks like inside.
  22. Yes they are living. Until we arrive with a big chainsaw.
  23. Yes but just noticed that the dial on the 'loose' muff just spins continually with a screwdriver.
  24. Now I've fitted Sena sets to my helmets I've found that the ear defenders are not doing a very good job, especially the right one. Does any one have similar experience because I know that lots of you have Sena on Protos. Thanks Al.
  25. That's cos it's a double cab, silly. A single cab with an integral tool box will give a better payload. Years ago I went on the scales with my crew cab, tools and woodchip. 4.86t of brilliance! 😂😂
