  1. Push in as much as you can at high speed then run off!
  2. Mercedes! Explain to me why the rear park sensors have failed, both front suspension shocks need to be changed, seatbelt pretensioners have failed, one wing mirror adjusts itself, the clutch 'judders' like hell 25% of the time and all this happens at once after only 50k miles! Sorry. Ignore me.
  3. Wow I did start this thread a long time ago. Anyway, I lost my temper, threw the Harkie in the bin and bought a Cut n Climb. Comfier than the Harkie and slightly more waterproof. Only slightly. Then I got hacked off with that and got a really expensive Pfanner Ventura. I was delighted with the design and comfort and it was superbly waterproof, until I removed it from the packaging and wore it the first time! It was utterly useless and Pfanner couldn't give a toss. I was very disappointed by the jacket and extremely disappointed by Pfanners lack of customer care. Anyway, IMO most jackets are pretty waterproof until they become contaminated by a fine film of chain oil that is inevitable due to our job. Washing in Nikwax Techwash definitely helps and is cheaper than buying yet another jacket. I'm now back in the Nikwax treated Cut n Climb. The Ventura is relegated to being the most expensive work jacket that stays behind the truck seat and makes me sick every time I see it.
  4. Yes I think Peter put some figures forward on a thread a long time go. They made perfect sense and were perfectly plausible IMO. It was a good illustration of just how foolish a 3.5t is for Arb work if you're business is busy. Now that's the crux. It's my opinion that many firms don't run efficiently and can never achieve the critical mass/volume of work to make the step to a lorry and big chipper. Some people choose not to of course.
  5. I heard people are scared to work with you cos you tried to paint the last guy blue! Lol!
  6. Thanks guys. What size bar are you running. Just curious on that though.
  7. How is the MS661 working out? Any problems cropping up? I thought I should ask the question, or I'll just get another 395xp (despite the floppy chain brake lever) Thanks.
  8. I need a woodchip (and possibly log) tip in the Forest Hill and Lewisham area. I'm happy to pay a tipping fee. I don't need it until December or January and it's clean chip. Please PM or call 07834414271 Thanks Al
  9. Where is the tree, or where are you trying to get rid of it from?
  10. What kind of dog is that? Is it a puppy?
  11. I bet you a pound 3 guys show up on here the day after I don't need them any more! Still looking for someone for 2-3 days a week.
  12. Makes no difference.
  13. I totally agree Mike and would add that one can never have too much gear! That way, one can become so confused and overwhelmed by the choice of gear and techniques before them that it becomes too iffy to attempt a job. At this point one tells the trainee or freelancer to get to it whilst one chats up the attractive client. Not speaking from experience you understand! 😳😜
  14. I got the app when it came out but at some point have unloaded it from my iPhone. I've just re-downloaded it and find that every page is empty. No info or photos at all. Any ideas?
  15. Impressive but not a total surprise actually. Following our conversation last week, I'll be in touch as soon as I hear from my client. Could be next week, could be in a year.......
  16. Question is, how will it look if growing in SE England. I'd love to have one but not worth it if it looks like a Gunnii.
  17. Yes I've also had the same problem Rich, well almost, in my twisted mind anyway. The main danger of SRT is that we're only climbing on a single rope and that's gotta be dodgy, innit!
  18. 5yr warranty! Do all Bandit machines have 5yrs?
  19. I'd say that's quite a lot of money for a Conker throwing device!! Lol!
  20. What is the compromise to get a 15" chipper under 3.5tons?
  21. Thanks Marc. Yea, I too really rate Polydine but it's very expensive and I'm not into doing massive heavy lumps. I won't be using mine for digging though so I'll go with Sirius. Thanks.
  22. I need to replace my Polydine rope and the Teufelberger Sirius looks good. https://honeybros.com/Item/Teufelberger_Sirius_16mm_Rigging_Rope Does anyone have any feedback for me? Or other favourites? Thanks Al.
  23. Just saw these further out.
