  1. They won't be selling the nylon core version to me. The more like steel cable the better for me! Lol!
  2. Call Nick at: M&W Engineering & Supplies Unit 3 Regent Business Centre 6, Jubilee Road Burgess Hill RH15 9TL T: 01444-244146 F: 01444-236041
  3. It's cheaper than loosing one a year! Anyway, it's only money and that stuff grows on trees! 😜
  4. 15 minutes after fitting my Sena sets on the helmets I discovered that Sena also do these which are much better for what we do: [ame]https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01LZIOM24/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1485461034&sr=8-2π=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=sena+tufftalk&dpPl=1&dpID=41kP4E51-lL&ref=plSrch[/ame]
  5. I like the nail varnish idea and that shade of pink you refer to I got last time I saw your toes. The flashing blue light only works if the unit has landed light side up. Lol! Actually the nail varnish is genius as it should be hard wearing too. Thanks.
  6. I'll look at spraying them a bright colour and see if I can find some elastic to wrap them to the bracket with. Unless someone has a better idea.....
  7. I'd send it to Spudulike for him to fix it properly. Cheaper in the long run.
  8. Good work Bob. We're moving into phase 2 of 'you know where' next month. I don't know what's in it yet so you may get my call. In a blind panic as usual! Hahaha!
  9. I'd recommend getting both Joe. Then once you've lost your temper with one of them, I'll buy it at a knockdown price. Brilliant!
  10. Today a twig nudged the top of the unit today whilst I was climbing heroically and the battery fell out. Luckily I found it but wondered if anyone has devised an ingenious way of securing it. I have the 10s models. Thanks Al.
  11. What devices have you been using prior to the Akimbo Ben? RR? BDB? Etc? Thanks.
  12. Thanks for taking the time to go through that for us DMc.
  13. Thanks Dave. I seem to remember that you're a fan of the swivel on the BDB. How do you get on with the Akimbo, without a swivel. What are the differences for you personally. Thanks. Al.
  14. When limb walking with the BDB its really nice to have the device rotated so that it's a good ergonomic position for your hand. Yes a swivel can be put on harness bridge but it adds 'links' to the system which I don't approve of. Just curious though which is why I asked. Thanks Joe.
  15. Is it possible to fit a swivel to the Akimbo?
  16. Thanks. I took it back to the dealer and the aforementioned condition is after the trained mechanic tuned it. It is now exactly the same as it was before.
  17. I have since bought a tuning tool so that I can adjust the carb. At first I thought it was incredibly annoying to fit the tool to the screw head but then I realised it is designed to be a tight fit and therefore stay attached whilst running and tuning the saw. Genius!! My 2511 now cuts brilliantly but stalls on idle unless I turn the idle screw in and then it idles so fast that the clutch is engaging! It also takes about 7 pulls to start it every single time. My patience is wearing thin as the effort saved in having a light saw is now negated by having to pull the cord so excessively. Any ideas before I change careers and become a van driver? Thanks Al.
  18. Good video.Any further updates on this saw would be good. Thanks.
  19. There are only two places for a caravan: 1. On a bonfire. 2. Crushed under a big tree. The end.
  20. No problem. Happy to help.
  21. Hi everyone. I'm selling all my Arb gear and client list. I'm going to be a delivery driver as I hear the money is good and it's an easy job! Lol!
  22. Local HGV garage but they've since closed down. Probably had no work after I sold my Mog. Ask Bob Aspenarb as he'll know someone near you.
  23. Thanks Dave. I thought there must be a reason but I couldn't see the mechanical differences and angles from the photos.
  24. That's a relief. I've never seen a wet fire! I'll get me coat. 😟
  25. I'll be interested to know about the shackle tending point position. That's how it was with the early BDB and it didn't work so well.
